I always had, and I show you here all the time, a love for travelling. If I could I would travel internationally at least four times a year. On top of all the other weekends away, which honestly, until now, it weren't much. However, this year I'm starting to travel a bit more inside Portugal, as I mentioned in my previous post, which I've been totally loving.

Since my Sydney itinerary post had so much engagement, I decided to start doing it more. And to be fair, I always go search other people itineraries before I go travel, so I believe this type of publications are super helpful. Specially when you don't have a lot of time in my place you are going to visit.

With that said, here it is what you can do in Alcobaça in 1 day, and have a good grasp of the city.

~~

Situated 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Lisbon, in the Leiria District, Alcobaça is very famous for being an historic province. Its name derives from the rivers Alcoa and Baça, where the city grew along between the valleys.

The place it's not that big so it's easy to visit the main attractions in one day. And you won't even feel like you are rushing it.

There was no need for me to get ready fast, so I enjoyed my breakfast slowly and after took a walk along the perimeter of the hotel. They had a very beautiful and spacious backyard.

~~

If you pretend to follow my itinerary I will put the places in the order that I did.

I started the morning, before lunch, by going to the Jardim do Amor. It's pretty famous because it evokes the immortal love of Pedro and Inês through the sculptures “Royal Thrones”. The love being a intrinsic theme to the identity of Alcobaça. After looking around, it was already time for lunch. I ate at a nearby restaurant, in the main square.

Since it was super close, I decided to just go for it and visit the main attraction, the Mosteiro de Alcobaça. Considered the first Gothic monument in the country, the monument constitutes one of the most notable and well-preserved examples of Cistercian architecture and spatial philosophy. Surprisingly, it was bigger than I thought and interesting too. It took a bit over an hour to look around.

After that, I just walked around the streets to see the wall arts, to enter the local stores and see the iconics chitas de Alcobaça and just get an overall moment with the beauty of the architecture of the city. Mid-afternoon, I, of couse, needed to try the sweets of Alcoa (pastry shop) in their home. Warning, they are very sweet, because it's made mostly with doce de ovos - "egg jam".

~~

The next thing that it is a little bit talk about and it wasn't that far away from where I was was the Castelo de Alcobaça. To be completely fair with you, in terms of castle, it's nothing special - it's definitely not your typical castle. Honestly, it's just some ruins. However, it's a beautiful viewpoint of the whole town.

Finally, we had time to do a little bit more, but since we are very passionate about the sea and the beach, we choose to go São Martinho do Porto, for one of the beaches and just sit there, talking, taking up the sensations and watching the sunset. For dinner, we stop in Óbidos, for one of the most delicious meals and the overall restaurant.

~~

E ficámos apenas sentados, a falar, a acolher as sensações e a ver o pôr-do-sol.

When I was booking my trip to Sydney, Australia, a lot of people said to me that 5 days there wasn't going to be enough. Now, that I have experienced it, I can totally say it's more than enough time. To visit Sydney, though.

If you intend to visit Australia and the major cities, obviously, you will need a lot more time. I understand that some people do that because the flight is expensive and it is very long to be doing a few times. However, if your goal is just Sydney, five days it's a good amount of time. And maybe if you get better weather than I did you can fit a lot more stuff in your itinerary than what I'm going to show you.

Reminder, check out my sydney vlog right here for some imagery of this trip.

~~

Day 1

• Hyde Park
• George Street
• Queen Victoria Building
• Martin Place
• The Rocks
• Sydney Opera House
• Mrs Macquarie's Chair
• Royal Botanic Garden
• Mido Mart
• The Galeries
• St Mary's Cathedral

Also, important to say visit Sydney Opera House in the first day. It's when you will feel like you definitely made it. Plus, if you want to visit the place, it's important to buy the tickets beforehand.

~~

Day 2

• Cockatoo Island
• Chinese Garden of Friendship
• Darling Square
• Darling Harbour
• Paddy's Market
• Market City
• Chinatown

As you will notice, I divided my days into zones. On our second day, after a morning on the island, we got off in Darling Harbour and went to grab lunch there. The restaurants are a bit on the expensive side, but the italian one that we went to was worth it. Because it started to rain we went to visit some more indoor places, like some markets, malls and museums.

~~

Day 3

• Broadway Sydney
• Newtown
• Museum of Contemporary Art Australia

On this day we explored Newtown all morning and also went to a mall, so that took us some time. In the afternoon we had our tour through the Sydney Opera House (the duration is around 1 hour), and then we walked again around the The Rocks area, where we also had dinner. Since we had a reservation for a bar later that evening we went near the spot which was close to Martin Place.

~~

Day 4

• Paddington Markets
• Disney Studios
• Entertainment Quarter
• Luna Park

While we were at the Paddington area, we also saw some jacaranda trees, which was very pretty. It's a super nice neighbourhood, with a lot of cute bakeries. After visiting the Entertainment Quarters and having lunch, we did some shopping at George Street. And around 5p.m. we went to Luna Park, which closed around 8p.m.

~~

Day 5

• Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park
• Bondi Beach

Since it was our last full day in Sydney we also decided to go grab dinner at Sydney Opera Bar. It was the perfect ending for this trip. We showered at the hotel, dolled up and had dinner right next to Sydney Opera House where we tried Oyster and ate pizza with a glass of wine.

~~

Just like I promised in my previous post, here it is a vlog showing you how my week went: attending MOTELX and at the same time while going to work. Not worth mentioning that it was a chaotic last week.

I do am a bit sad that I couldn't go to that many movies, but I sure made my time there, and what I had, worth it. I experienced for the first time the midnight session! Obviously, I also was very mindful of my time, since I had to keep in mind that I was going to wake up early on the next day.

My routine one these days were basically wakeup for my usual workout or run training, go to work in the afternoon and speed up to Cinema São Jorge for another day at the cinema festival.

With that said, here are some clips of my nights at MOTELX. If you want to know in detail what I wore and my opinions on the movies I watched, please check out my other post.

~~

I am so happy about this post. It took me a while to edit, but I’m finally going to upload it. Last wednesday I attended the press conference of MOTEL X. If you have been following me, you would know that last year I volunteered for them and I had a blast. I have been going to Motel X - the Lisbon International Horror Film Festival - for some years now and this year I was able to go to the press conference, which kind means I got to know some things before hand and, most importantly, eat cake.

Because it was such a new experience for me, I decided to vlog it and now I’m going to share that evening with you. Have fun :)

~~

Estou tão feliz por estar a postar isto. Demorou-me algum tempo a editar, mas finalmente vou carregar o vídeo.

And it is that time of the year again, when I'm not posting anything because I'm just enjoying myself at summer music festivals. To be more exact, NOS Alive. I simply can't seem to miss it. I have to go! This year, was not as full as last year. It was a bit more relaxed, but it was again an awesome experience.

Different from last year, I did not think about the outfits ahead of time. To be honest, both the looks were last minute ones. I only thought of them - outfit, hair, makeup - on the day. But considering that, I'm actually pretty happy of them. I think they were different from previous years, original and comfortable.

~~

Pensados no próprio dia - roupa, cabelo, maquilhagem.

7th July - Linda Martini, IDLES, Lizzo, Arctic Monkeys, Lil Nas X

I do have to say that this year the temperature was not super hot. Which is good. Overall, there was always a little breeze hence the outfits. On this day, I basically wanted to see every artist, so I wanted to be comfortable, but at the same time stylish. I chose pants and sneakers, but went for a bikini top. The makeup was a bit more simple, with just a few pearls and the hair was on a low bun - it's just comfortable, effortless but sophisticated.

~~

8th July - Carolina Deslandes & Bárbara Tinoco, MGK, Tash Sultana, Sam Smith, Rina Sawayama

On the second day, I was more free from the crowd. Therefore, I decided to be a little more brave. The outfit itself was super comfortable, but the shoes were definitely a risk. With a more rock approach, I went for a bikini top underneath the mesh long sleeve with a necklace turned into a body chain, some workout shorts and the risky part the Doc. Martens. For the hair, I just put some hairclips to secure the bangs and the makeup a little more colourful - red and pink - with some pink gemstones.

~~

Just like a year ago, I decided to go to Aveiro to run. It was last year that I ran my best 10km. This year, I was up for a different challenge. I wanted to see how I would deal by running an half-marathon all by myself. It was actually only my second.

Since, my sister was working on that weekend, it was just me and my dad, but we definitely made the most of it. We left after my work in the morning of friday and arrived in Lisbon on sunday evening. We had delicious food, enjoyed a group dinner, went for a walk near the beach, and the most important of all we had fun running.

Spoiler, I did not beat my record, but this weekend was so worth it. Which, by the way, happened on April, days 21 to 23.

Here you have some clips of my adventure weekend in Aveiro filmed in vertical, because that's how I roll lately. If you want me to change it just let me know.

~~

Three days ago, before work, I went with my sister and a friend, to the first edition of the Lisbon Vegan Market. It turns out I didn't film all that much, so what was supposed to be a vlog turned into a mini-log. Just a fraction of my day for me to remember in the future.

The Lisbon Vegan Market was located at Braço de Prata, so we went by train. It was smaller than what I imagined, but once you got to look at all the amazing things that were there, they all look delicious. It wasn't just food, there were also businesses of clothing, skincare, accessories, etc.

I tried the (a)typical pão com chouriço, one bifana vegan and as well as a traditional cookie. Spoiler, they were to die for. I also bought a tasting package of "enchidos".

I still filmed in vertical, so if you don't like let me know. Also, I mostly do fast-paced and quick videos, so if you would like longer ones, also tell me.

~~

Before hand, I'm sorry. This vlog was not planned at all. Honestly, I had in mind to film other day that I was planning better, but this morning, that I'm about to show you, just happened out of nowhere (almost) and I though it was ideal. And to be fair it was a very healing spontaneous time with my friend, that enjoyed quite a lot. I believe those moments should also be shown because they are so pure and so much more realistic.

In summary, since I had to go to work in the afternoon we decided to meet on a tuesday so that way we could visit the Santa Clara flea market in Lisbon, in the morning, and afterwards we could enjoy brunch together. And it was my friend's first brunch.

I still filmed in vertical, so if you don't like let me know. Also, I mostly do fast-paced and quick videos, so if you would like longer ones, also tell me.

~~

Antes demais, desculpem.

As you know, I'm back in Lisbon and even though my life is not as interesting (I believe), I still take joy out of filming and show you my day-to-day life. Even if I'm kind off bad at remembering to film, but I am really trying though.

My day offs are the ones where more stuff happens, but this time it landed perfectly on my best friend's birthday and we went bowling. However, expect more chill (lofi) type of vlogs, as I'm also trying to organize my life and getting back on track.

I still filmed in vertical, so if you don't like let me know. Also, I mostly do fast-paced and quick videos, so if you would like longer ones, also tell me.

~~

To end the Maia - North of Portugal - work journey, I bring you a vlog of my day off. On my last day off there, I finally decided to explore, again, Porto. I went by myself since my friends were working or went south to see there family. It was definitely an adventure that I don't regret at all of going alone.

To be honest, the whole past month was such a great experience to find my true self and actually feel comfortable and confident on my own (body).

It's a normal video, fast-paced, that just shows a basic day of someone going out and being at peace in a big city alone.

~~

Last post, I showed you, through a vlog, how my mornings normally are. This time I decided to present you my night routine. Since it's not that long and very calm and peaceful, I thought that a video was not needed, however you have here some illustrating photos and a recommend lofi song to listen to while reading it (Music by .irg - satisfy (feat. Patient Zero, Kaz Benson, Patient Zero Beats)

Also, I’m not mentioning hours because it changes accordingly to what shift I’m doing. For example, when I’m doing the morning shift, I need to wake up at 3:30a.m so I go to bed at 9p.m.

~~

After working out and having dinner, I normally like to do something productive, like work on the blog or work/school related stuff. Just something important that needs to be done as quickly as possible. I feel that if I leave it for longer I won't have energy to do it.

I stay doing that just for as long as I can be focus. Since it’s already late, I can’t stay doing something for long. It's just to end the day with a bit of that productive feeling, that we did something on our to do list.

~~

Next, to unwind from the work and the previous projects, I like to relax to one of my hobbies. What I started doing recently is while watching a korean drama, youtube or just TV, I like to be drinking tea (you know, this cold weather asks for warm calming drinks). It's a great way to start calming your system and make youserlf a bit sleepy.

~~

After that, an episode or around an hour, I go do my skincare routine. Even though it doesn't take long, I don't like to rush things up. Specially because sometimes I'm so sleepy that I don't even enjoy that part of the day. Therefore, I like to do it early so that doesn't happen. Right before going to bed I also write on my agenda what I need to do on the next day

~~

Finally, now that I'm not full from the dinner, I go to bed. I actually am lucky enough to say that I fall asleep rather quickly, in 5 minutes, but I do scroll through my phone, not for long, just to feel updated about what's going on around the world and on my friends' lifes.

~~

Good night xx
