Just like a year ago, I decided to go to Aveiro to run. It was last year that I ran my best 10km. This year, I was up for a different challenge. I wanted to see how I would deal by running an half-marathon all by myself. It was actually only my second.

Since, my sister was working on that weekend, it was just me and my dad, but we definitely made the most of it. We left after my work in the morning of friday and arrived in Lisbon on sunday evening. We had delicious food, enjoyed a group dinner, went for a walk near the beach, and the most important of all we had fun running.

Spoiler, I did not beat my record, but this weekend was so worth it. Which, by the way, happened on April, days 21 to 23.

Tal como há um ano atrás, decidi ir a Aveiro para correr. Foi no ano passado que corri os meus melhores 10km. Este ano, estava pronta para outro desafio. Queria saber como é que reagiria a correr uma meia maratona sozinha. Foi a minha segunda.

Uma vez que a minha irmã estava a trabalhar no fim-de-semana, fui apenas com o meu pai, mas nós definitivamente aproveitámos ao máximo. Abalámos depois do meu trabalho de manhã da sexta-feira e chegámos a Lisboa na tarde domingo. Comemos coisas deliciosas, tivemos um jantar de grupo, passeamos perto da praia e mais importante divertimo-nos na corrida.

Spoiler, não bati o meu recorde, mas este fim-de-semana valeu muito a pena. Que, ainda não tinha mencionado, aconteceu em abril, de 21 a 23.

Aqui ficam alguns clipes da minha aventura de fim-de-semana em Aveiro, filmada na vertical, porque é assim que faço as coisas. Mas se querem que mude, digam-me.

I already showed you once an outfit with flare jeans. If I’m not mistaken it was a look inspired by the 70s. So, technically is not how I style them, even though I would totally wear that outfit.

Since I am a petite girl, I can’t just wear whatever with flared jeans. If styled in a certain way, I will seem even smaller that I already am. To give you an idea, I am 5 feet 2. With that said, there are some things that I try to avoid. Because in reality, flared jeans can really elongate your legs.

Eu já vos mostrei uma vez um outfit com calças à boca de sino. Se não estou enganada, foi um visual inspirado nos anos 70. Por isso, tecnicamente não é como eu as estilizo, contudo eu totalmente usaria aquela combinação.

Uma vez que sou uma rapariga pequena, eu não posso vestir qualquer coisa com as calças. Quando combinadas de uma certa forma, eu irei parecer ainda mais pequena do que já sou. Para vos dar uma ideia, meço 1,57. Tendo dito isso, existem algumas coisas que tento evitar. Porque, na realidade, calças à boca de sino podem alongar as pernas.

First thing I was careful with was wearing a top that didn’t cover all skin. Specially, in my tummy area. So, I wanted a crop top. That way, you have so much jeans fabric, but you can still see skin, which gives the illusion of taller. Next, because the pants are already black, I wanted the top to give some more colour to the outfit. To resemble more me. I chose a white strap top with lilac flowers. For a more elegant appearance I added a gold necklace. 

For the shoes, again since the pants are a bit long, I used sneakers with a platform. And ones with colour to be more me. Also to match with the top: both with pastel tones. I also made this choice because it gives of a cute retro edgy vibe. Which is the style I like.

In terms of makeup, I decided to leave it simple, with just a pink eyeliner. And the hair in a normal ponytail.

A primeira coisa com que tive cuidado foi não vestir uma blusa que tapasse toda a minha pele. Especialmente, na área da barriga. Sendo assim, queria um crop top. Assim, mesmo com tanto tecido por parte das calças, ainda se vê alguma pele, o que dá a ilusão de altura. De seguida, porque as calças já eram pretas, eu quis um top que tivesse cor. Para realçar mais o meu estilo. Escolhi uma blusa de alças com flores lilases. Para uma aparência mais elegante, adicionei um colar dourado.

Para os sapatos, outra vez, visto que as calças são compridas, usei uns ténis com plataforma. E uns que tivessem cor para ser mais eu. E também para combinar com o top: ambos em cores pasteis. Optei por estes porque dão um ar fofo retro edgy. O que é o estilo que gosto.

Em termos de maquilhagem, mantive-a simples, com apenas um eyeliner em rosa. E o cabelo no rabo-de-cavalo simples.

The longer I keep working and therefore I establish a certain routine, it is hard to come up with an original makeup everytime. Specially, because my job doesn't require a nice makeup. Nonetheless, I always put something. 

I'm very much into colourful eyeliner, and I do try to do it every workday, and also making it different from the previous ones. But when I can't or I don't have ideas or just simply don't feel like it, this is the makeup that I go for basically everytime.

Quanto mais eu continuo a trabalhar e consequentemente a criar uma rotina, fica mais difícil fazer maquilhagens originais todas os dias. Especialmente, porque o meu trabalho não requer uma boa maquilhagem. Mesmo assim, eu ponho sempre algo.

Eu gosto bastante de eyeliner colorido, e eu tento desenhar todos os dias de trabalho, e também fazer um diferente do anteriores. Mas quando não consigo ou já não tenho ideias ou simplesmente não me apetece, esta é a maquilhagem que faço sempre basicamente.

In terms of skin, I am really basic. I continue to not use foundation, so I rely a lot on my concealer - The Tarte Concealer Shape Tape. I apply under my eyes and in my t-zone (nose, chin, center of forehead), also if I have any pimple I apply there too. 

Then I use a bit of pink blush and some highlighter. These two various a bit, but it is in the shades of pink and gold, respectively. I don't usely set it with compact powder, I like the dewy look, but if the weather is really humid, I do it.

For the eyes, I'm incredibly into pink and glitter for the eyeshadows. In simple terms, I do whatever I'm feeling with the pallete from Mercadona, the Cherry from Deliplus. 

The final touches are the combination of the eyelash curler and some mascara and I also brush and set my eyebrows. I don't do any colour in the last ones.

Em termos de pele, sou básica. Continuo a não usar base, por isso dependo muito no corretor - Tarte Shape Tape. Aplico debaixo dos olhos e na zona T (nariz, queixo e centro da testa), e também nas borbulhas que tiver.

Depois uso um pouco de blush e de iluminador. Estes variam um bocado, mas geralmente nas cores rosa e dourado, respetivamente. Eu não finalizo com pó compacto, eu gosto do acabamento dewy, mas se o tempo está húmido, eu utilizo.

Para os olhos, eu estou a adorar rosas e glitter como sombras. Em termos simples, eu faço qualquer coisa, dependendo do que estou a sentir, com a paleta do Mercadona, a Cherry da marca Deliplus.

Os últimos toques é a combinação do curvex com o rímel e também pentear e fixar as sobrancelhas. Eu não ponho nenhuma cor nas últimas.
