Bare with me if I'm not that quick posting or if it feels all over the place... But being back after so long still is a bit weird, it's like I lost the auto pilot and I'm learning everything again.

But here we are for a new post and it's an outfit one, which I'm very excited about! Because it was my birthday look. It's been a while since then, but I like it so much that I had to write about it.

It's very simple pieces, it does not have that much pattern or colour, but has all the right vibes.

Sejam compreensivos comigo... Eu sei que não estou a ser muito rápida a publicar ou as postagens parecem estar desorganizadas, mas voltar depois de tanto tempo ainda é um pouco estranho. É como se eu tivesse perdido o modo automático e tenho de aprender tudo novamente.

Mas aqui estamos nós mais uma vez e para um post sobre moda, o que me deixa muito entusiasmada! Porque é o visual que utilizei nos meus anos. Já foi há algum tempo, mas gostei tanto que tenho de escrever.

São tudo peças muito simples, que não têm padrão nem muita cor, mas sim as 'vibrações' certas.

The whole look is more for the cold season, you obviously can adapt to the warmer time, by taking off the turtleneck and simply wearing the vest, but I honestly love the white underneath.

When I combined the pieces, I had a vision in mind. I want to feel like a boss of my own life and elegant at the same time. And never leaving my own spirit. So for that I wore fitting pieces with a twist. 

From the start the vest is the true star, it turns a simple black and white outfit into something interesting, specially since mine has blue settle stripes. And then the bell bottoms, again, gives it a twist. Not forgetting to metion that the platform shoes are definitely a statement too.

Todo o visual foi feito para o tempo mais frio, mas obviamente que conseguem adaptar para o clima mais quente, retirando a gola alta e ficando apenas com o colete, mas honestamente adoro o branco por baixo.

Quando combinei estas peças, eu tinha uma visão em mente. Eu queria-me sentir como a patroa da minha própria vida e elegante ao mesmo tempo. Mas nunca esquecendo o meu espírito. Por optei por peças justas com um 'twist'.

Para começar o colete é a verdadeira estrela, torna um outfit preto e branco simples em algo interessante, especialmente por o meu tem riscas subtis azuis. E depois as calças à boca de sino, outra vez, dão outro charme. Não esquecendo que os sapatos de plataforma também são um 'statement'.

Will this be my comeback? It's definitely weird to my first post after so many months... But in reality I've been posting about the Oscars since 2020, not missing a year, so I just couldn't miss this year. 

This year, I'll be honest, I stayed until the very last minute watching one of the Oscars movies so I was not paying too much attention to the red carpet.

However, it's been a couple of days already, so I had time to look at all the beautiful dresses and suits and I've made my mind already about my five favourites.

Isto vai mesmo ser o meu comeback? É um pouco estranho este ser o meu primeiro post depois de tantos meses... Mas a realidade é que escrevo sobre os Óscares desde 2020, sem faltar um ano, por isso este ano não seria a exceção.

Honestamente, este ano não estive tão atenta à passadeira vermelha, porque fiquei até ao último minuto a ver um dos filmes nomeados.

Porém, já se passaram dois dias, e eu tive tempo suficiente para avaliar todos os visuais e cheguei aos meus cinco favoritos.

Monica Barbaro

Dior really stepped it up this year on the Oscars Red Carpet. Not only Monica Barbaro was stunning in blush pink, but also Mikey Madison looked incredible. But I only chose one of them. 

What set Monica's dress apart for me was the ball gown effect, the super high waist and, if you know you can already guess it, the pockets. Obviously her minimal hair and makeup style just melted so nicely with this star of a dress.

A Dior realmente esmerou-se este ano na Red Carpet dos Óscares. Não só a Monica Barbaro está lindíssima num rosinha claro, como a Mikey Madison também estava incrível. Mas só podia escolher uma.

O que me fez escolher o vestido da Monica foi o facto de parecer um vestido de baile, ter uma cintura super alta e, se me conhecem conseguem adivinhar, ter bolsos. Óbvio que o cabelo e maquilhagem minimalista também ajudaram misturar tudo lindamente.

Selena Gomez

She was maybe the most metioned celebrity. And all because of the amazing custom made Ralph Lauren dress. She just looked amazing on. And paired it with that particular necklace was such a good idea. Selena looked modern in a old actress fashion.

Definitely the blush/nude pink was the colour this year and suited so many people. But let's not avoid the star of it all: 16000 glass droplets. An around of applause!

Ela foi talvez a celebridade mais mencionada. E tudo por causa do vestido Ralph Lauren. Ela estava simplesmente extraordinária. E combinar com aquele colar em particular foi um excelente ideia. A Selena tinha um ar moderno num visual de atriz antiga.

Definitivamente que o rosa bebé foi a cor deste ano e assentava bastantes pessoas. Mas não vamos esquecer a estrela: as 16 mil gotas de vidro. Uma salva de palmas!

Demi Moore

This will sound weird, but I can't really point it out what I like so much about this look. I honestly believe it's her that makes this Armani Privé dress stand out so much. It just goes so well with her body shape and her age.

The detail around her hips may seem odd to some, but for me makes so much sense and adds a little twist on it. The material, rather than most of using 'mirror', it's only sparkle but it has a pattern, which it makes it look different. It's almost likes pieces off silver.

Isto vai soar estranho, mas eu não consigo bem dizer o que é que eu gosto assim tanto no visual. Honestamente, eu acredito que é a Demi que faz o vestido Armani Privé sobressair. Fica mesmo muito bem com a forma do seu corpo e a sua idade.

O detalhe à volta das ancas pode parecer fora, mas adiciona outra dimensão ao vestido. O material, em vez de ser 'espelho', é apenas brilho mas tem um padrão, o que o torna original. E quase parece prata.

Whoopi Goldberg

This old lady got me so off guard and blew me away. This liquid and futuristic dress from Siriano's fall colection just made so much sense for her!

I do think it's a bit too youngish looking for her, but it matches her personality so damn well, it's unbelievable. And let's mention, again, that the of the shoulder, the corset and ball gown look with pockets will always work for me.

Esta senhora de idade apanhou-me desprevenida e deixou-me sem chão. O vestido líquido e futurístico da coleção de Siriano fez tanto sentido para ela!

Eu acho que é um pouco juvenil, mas ao mesmo tempo combina com a sua personalidade. E mencionar, outra vez, que o facto de ter os ombros de fora, o espartilho e ter um feito de baile com bolsos capta sempre o meu coração.

Colman Domingo

The only man on my list, and the man that always saves the red carpet for the masculine looks. Colman Domingo just hits it everytime, he can always set himself apart from the 'competition'. 

For this year's Oscars ceremony, the actor wore a custom made suit from Valentino. It still a normal looking pants and blazer, but the bold red gives it a different appeal and what it really seals the deal is the belt with some fringes.

O único homem na minha lista, e é sempre o homem que salva a passadeira vermelha na categoria dos visuais masculinos. O Colman Domingo consegue sempre acertar e destaca-se sempre da sua 'competição'.

Para esta cerimónia, o ator vestiu um fato feito para ele de Valentino. É normalíssimo, com calças e blazer, mas o vermelho vibrante dá outro ar e o que realmente o que o diferencia é o cinto com franjas.

 Unlike my previous monthly looks, in April I went for a much more casual and comfortable look. I still think it's very beautiful, and when I wore it I felt very confident in it, but I can totally recognize that it's not a fancy outfit. It's for a more casual date, maybe to go bowling or shopping or just a walk in the park. Plus, in my blog I also think it's important to have variety of looks, for every type of situations.

Ao contrário do meu visual do mês anterior, em Abril decidi por um look mais confortável e casual. Eu acho-o na mesma muito bonito, e quando o vesti senti-me confiante nele, mas consigo totalmente reconhecer que não é um outfit chique. É mais para um encontro casual, talvez bowling ou ir às compras ou mesmo só um passeio pelo parque. Para mais, eu gosto que o blogue tenha uma variedade de visuais, para diferentes tipos de situações.

I wouldn't say this look as a vibe, but with certain touches you can definitely make it your own style. Think of it almost like a blank cavas, a base, and now you will paint it according to your own feelings.

As you can see, it's nothing more than a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Obviously, no choice is just a just. For example, the pair of jeans I choose are carpenter jeans - it's an in between of straight cut and flare pants - and for the t-shirt, I decided to go for an oversized band tee. Believe it or not that does put some different jazz to the outfit (in comparison to, for example, skinny jeans and a crop t-shirt). 

To make it less simple, if you wish, play with accessories and the shoes. I went for some gold jewlery: I really like the small hoop earrings and the chunkier necklace is such a statement.

Eu não diria que este look tem um vibe, mas com os toques certos para definitivamente torná-lo no vosso próprio estilo. Imaginem quase como sendo uma tela em branco e agora vão pintar de acordo com o que estão a sentir.

Como podem ver, não é nada mais do que um par de calças de ganga e uma t-shirt. Óbvio que uma escolha nunca é só uma escolha. Por exemplo, as calças são estilo carpinteiro - um intermédio entre retas e à boca de sino - e a t-shirt optei por uma mais larga de banda. Acreditem que dá outro jazz ao outfit (em comparação com por exemplo calças skinny e um crop top).

Para torná-lo menos simples, se quiserem, joguem com os acessórios e os sapatos. Escolhi usar bijuteria dourada: gosto imenso destes brincos de argolas pequenos e um colar mais grosso dá sempre nas vistas.

 To be honest, this past month I did not have necessarily an outfit that stood out from the others. Not counting the days I went on a mini-travel, showed in a previous post. Nevertheless, I was able to pin point one that it's not the most stunning, but because of the day that I wore it, it has some meaning to it. And since the weather lately has been crazy - some days it's super hot and sunny, other days it's raining too much - I believe that this look may be to some use to you. Probably if you are in a cold weather country, it's a feminine outfit idea.

Sendo honesta, no mês de março não tive necessariamente um visual que se destacou dos outros. Não contando os dias que fui de mini viagem, que mostrei numa das publicações anteriores. Porém, consegui escolher um que, embora não seja o mais deslumbrante, foi especial para mim por causa do dia em que o vesti. E uma vez que o clima nestes dias tem estado um pouco louco - num dia calor noutro dia frio - eu acredito que este outfit não será totalmente irracional. Provavelmente, quando a temperatura está baixa, é uma boa ideia de um visual feminino.

I'm not a very girly girl, and I don't really wear dresses and skirts. I honestly have a hard time finding ones that I like and that I think it looks good one me. However, these dress overalls are my go to everytime I want an edgy but preppy look at the same time. It's so nice for a less casual date.

For a lunch at some friend’s house on a more important date, I like to go a little bit more fancy, and this always works. Plus, the knitwear I decided to go for has some meaning to me, perfect for the occasion. With that said, I think it works because the knitwear is simple, but also beautiful with the flower design and the little touch of colour and also the semi balloony sleeves. And combined with the dress gives of that feminine energy, but since it's in a washed black it has some edginess vibes, which I always like to have on my looks.

Finally, I used boots because it was rainning and some tights for the same reason (and it was a bit cold) and put my hair in a ponytail to give another touch of elegancy.

Eu não sou uma rapariga muito feminina, e normalmente não visto vestidos nem saias. Sinceramente, tenho alguma dificuldade a arranjar esse tipo de peças porque quase nunca gosto de me ver. Todavia, estas jardineiras de vestido são sempre a minha escolha quando quero um look bonitinho mas arrojado. É uma boa opção para um encontro menos casual.

Para um almoço na casa de uns amigos numa data mais importante, gosto sempre de ir um pouco mais arranjada e este tipo de visual resulta sempre. Para mais que, esta malha tem um grande significado para mim, o que torna-a uma escolha ainda melhor para a ocasião. Tendo isto dito, eu acho que funciona porque a malha é simples, mas ao mesmo tempo bonita por causa do seu padrão de flores, com um toque de cores e as suas mangas semi em balão. E combinada com o vestido dá um ar muito feminino. Porém, as jardineiras não deixam que o look seja demasiado fofo, devido ao seu tom de preto deslavado.

Finalmente, optei por umas botas visto que estava a chover e por umas collants pelo mesmo motivo. E fiz também um rabo de cavalo para dar um toque mais elegante.

A baptism is a very tricky event. It's not as formal as a wedding, but it's also not as casual or doesn't have the same environment as a family dinner or a party. It's situated between a serious and casual event. And to make it extra challenging for me, I only had green light to go, kind of last minute and to make it worse I'm not a very "dresses" girl, so it's obvious that I had to go shopping -  for something not necessarily my style and for an event difficult to buy to.

The baptism was for one of my family members, and it was during spring time, but it actually was pretty wind, a cold wind, so I was not that prepared.

O batizado é um evento complicado. Não é formal como um casamento, mas também não é tão casual como um jantar ou festa de família. Está situado entre o sério e o casual. E para tornar ainda mais desafiante para mim, eu apenas tive luz verde de que ia, um bocado à própria da hora e para ficar ainda pior eu não sou propriamente uma menina de vestidos. Por isso é óbvio que tive de ir às compras - por algo não necessariamente o meu estilo e para uma situação não muito fácil.

O batizado foi de um familiar, e foi durante a primavera, mas por acaso estava bastante vento, um vento frio, e infelizmente não estava o mais bem preparada.

Eventually, I found a dress that I believe it suited the occasion. It's not super original, to be fair is quite simple, but sometimes less is more. And in here I believe it is. Plus, the colour of the dress is really popular right now, it's actually the colour of the season. 

Usually, I'm more inclined to longer dresses, midi to be more precise, but I tried this one on and everyone that I asked loved it. It makes me a bit younger, because it's so cutesy, but with the right accessories and layers you can make it more elegant and less childy.

With that said, I went for a short sage pastel green dress, with a square neckline and puffy sleeves; for shoes, since it was a bit chilly, I went for some black boots and underneath ruffled socks; to match the boots and make it more sophisticated, I opted for a black blazer; and finalized everything with gold jewlery.

Eventualmente, encontrei o vestido ideal para a ocasião. Não é super original, e na realidade é bastante simples, mas às vezes menos é mais. E aqui eu acho que isso se aplica. Para mais, a cor do vestido está muito popular hoje em dia - é a cor da estação.

Usualmente, estou mais inclinada para vestidos longos, midi para ser mais precisa, mas experimentei este e toda gente concordou que era o mais bonito. Faz-me parecer um pouco mais nova, porque é assim bem fofinho, mas com a estilização certa pode tornar-se elegante e menos criança.

Tendo isso dito, optei por um vestido verde pastel, com um decote quadrado e mangas abalonadas; para os sapatos, uma vez que estava fresco, escolhi ir de botas pretas e por baixo umas meias com folhos; para combinar com os sapatos e para ficar mais sofisticado, fui com um blazer preto; para finalizar tudo adicionei bijuteria dourada.

 This year, for some random reason, I've been really eager to travel inside my own country. I don't know if it is because of what I am about to mention, but I feel like, since I know international is less likely to happen several times, more expensive and travel within gives me a similar excitement, I've been really excited to just go for it. Plus, I don't actually know know a lot within Portugal and its hidden gems.

So, my first weekend, which actually were only one night (one and a half days), I went to Alcobaça. Luckly, when I went the weather was pretty nice for the time - not hot, but nice to walk and get to know the city. Combining that with the vibe I get from the location - I've seen photos - here are the two outfits I came up with.

Este ano, por alguma razão, ando muito ansiosa para viajar dentro do meu país. Não sei bem porquê, talvez porque inconscientemente eu sei que viajar internacionalmente não dá para ser algo regular, para além de ser mais dispendioso, e passear por dentro dá uma excitação semelhante. E tem mesmo me dado muito gosto. Para mais, eu nunca conheci muito de Portugal e as coisas escondidas.

Por isso, a minha primeira saída, que foi apenas uma noite (e um dia e meio), foi a Alcobaça. Felizmente, quando fui o clima estava bastante bom para a altura - não calor, mas bom para visitar o lugar. Combinando isso com a sensação que obtenho do local - já vi fotos - aqui ficam os dois outfits que utilizei.

Day of the car ride | Dia da viagem de carro

For the first day, since I wasn’t going to do much, it was basically the car trip and then we would just enjoy the hotel, I went for something safe, comfortable and my style. There are pieces to have in hand in case something happen, in this case I felt that black pieces should be the way to go. Also because it was a bit gloomy too. Therefore I went for a darker canvas and then added a more “stand-out” piece, which is the shirt with that pattern and a lookalike vest.

Para o primeiro dia, uma vez que não ia fazer muito, era basicamente apenas a viagem de carro e depois iria aproveitar o hotel, decidi por algo seguro, confortável e o meu estilo. Existem peças que é bom ter perto de nós no caso de algo acontecer, neste caso senti que deveriam ser peças pretas. Também porque estava um pouco nublado, condizia mais. Assim sendo, fui para uma tela mais escura e adicionei uma peça mais destaque, que foi a camisa com a aquele padrão no colete a fingir.

Get to know the city day | Dia de conhecer a cidade

I had this outfit in mind, and I totally love how it came out - exactly how I imagined. I truly feel that it goes perfectly with the spirit of the vila. It gives a relax vibe, uses neutral colours that goes with the colours of the city and it is somehow elegant because of the combination of the off the shoulder top and white button up shirt. I used the same sneakers (there was no need for a different pair), even because it matches the colours nicely. On top of that I love the pop of colour that the tote bag gives to the overall look.

Eu tinha este visual em mente e eu adorei o resultado final - era exatamente o que tinha imaginado. Eu realmente acho que combina muito bem com o espírito da vila. Dá um ar relaxado, utiliza cores neutras que se assemelham com as cores da cidade e ao mesmo tempo um ar elegante por causa da combinação da blusa com os ombros de fora e a camisa branca. Utilizei os mesmos ténis (não havia necessidade de outro par), até porque vai ao encontro das cores lindamente. Para além disso, eu adoro o pequeno detalhe de cor que a mala de pano dá ao look, de uma forma em geral.
