Will this be my comeback? It's definitely weird to my first post after so many months... But in reality I've been posting about the Oscars since 2020, not missing a year, so I just couldn't miss this year. 

This year, I'll be honest, I stayed until the very last minute watching one of the Oscars movies so I was not paying too much attention to the red carpet.

However, it's been a couple of days already, so I had time to look at all the beautiful dresses and suits and I've made my mind already about my five favourites.

Isto vai mesmo ser o meu comeback? É um pouco estranho este ser o meu primeiro post depois de tantos meses... Mas a realidade é que escrevo sobre os Óscares desde 2020, sem faltar um ano, por isso este ano não seria a exceção.

Honestamente, este ano não estive tão atenta à passadeira vermelha, porque fiquei até ao último minuto a ver um dos filmes nomeados.

Porém, já se passaram dois dias, e eu tive tempo suficiente para avaliar todos os visuais e cheguei aos meus cinco favoritos.

Monica Barbaro

Dior really stepped it up this year on the Oscars Red Carpet. Not only Monica Barbaro was stunning in blush pink, but also Mikey Madison looked incredible. But I only chose one of them. 

What set Monica's dress apart for me was the ball gown effect, the super high waist and, if you know you can already guess it, the pockets. Obviously her minimal hair and makeup style just melted so nicely with this star of a dress.

A Dior realmente esmerou-se este ano na Red Carpet dos Óscares. Não só a Monica Barbaro está lindíssima num rosinha claro, como a Mikey Madison também estava incrível. Mas só podia escolher uma.

O que me fez escolher o vestido da Monica foi o facto de parecer um vestido de baile, ter uma cintura super alta e, se me conhecem conseguem adivinhar, ter bolsos. Óbvio que o cabelo e maquilhagem minimalista também ajudaram misturar tudo lindamente.

Selena Gomez

She was maybe the most metioned celebrity. And all because of the amazing custom made Ralph Lauren dress. She just looked amazing on. And paired it with that particular necklace was such a good idea. Selena looked modern in a old actress fashion.

Definitely the blush/nude pink was the colour this year and suited so many people. But let's not avoid the star of it all: 16000 glass droplets. An around of applause!

Ela foi talvez a celebridade mais mencionada. E tudo por causa do vestido Ralph Lauren. Ela estava simplesmente extraordinária. E combinar com aquele colar em particular foi um excelente ideia. A Selena tinha um ar moderno num visual de atriz antiga.

Definitivamente que o rosa bebé foi a cor deste ano e assentava bastantes pessoas. Mas não vamos esquecer a estrela: as 16 mil gotas de vidro. Uma salva de palmas!

Demi Moore

This will sound weird, but I can't really point it out what I like so much about this look. I honestly believe it's her that makes this Armani Privé dress stand out so much. It just goes so well with her body shape and her age.

The detail around her hips may seem odd to some, but for me makes so much sense and adds a little twist on it. The material, rather than most of using 'mirror', it's only sparkle but it has a pattern, which it makes it look different. It's almost likes pieces off silver.

Isto vai soar estranho, mas eu não consigo bem dizer o que é que eu gosto assim tanto no visual. Honestamente, eu acredito que é a Demi que faz o vestido Armani Privé sobressair. Fica mesmo muito bem com a forma do seu corpo e a sua idade.

O detalhe à volta das ancas pode parecer fora, mas adiciona outra dimensão ao vestido. O material, em vez de ser 'espelho', é apenas brilho mas tem um padrão, o que o torna original. E quase parece prata.

Whoopi Goldberg

This old lady got me so off guard and blew me away. This liquid and futuristic dress from Siriano's fall colection just made so much sense for her!

I do think it's a bit too youngish looking for her, but it matches her personality so damn well, it's unbelievable. And let's mention, again, that the of the shoulder, the corset and ball gown look with pockets will always work for me.

Esta senhora de idade apanhou-me desprevenida e deixou-me sem chão. O vestido líquido e futurístico da coleção de Siriano fez tanto sentido para ela!

Eu acho que é um pouco juvenil, mas ao mesmo tempo combina com a sua personalidade. E mencionar, outra vez, que o facto de ter os ombros de fora, o espartilho e ter um feito de baile com bolsos capta sempre o meu coração.

Colman Domingo

The only man on my list, and the man that always saves the red carpet for the masculine looks. Colman Domingo just hits it everytime, he can always set himself apart from the 'competition'. 

For this year's Oscars ceremony, the actor wore a custom made suit from Valentino. It still a normal looking pants and blazer, but the bold red gives it a different appeal and what it really seals the deal is the belt with some fringes.

O único homem na minha lista, e é sempre o homem que salva a passadeira vermelha na categoria dos visuais masculinos. O Colman Domingo consegue sempre acertar e destaca-se sempre da sua 'competição'.

Para esta cerimónia, o ator vestiu um fato feito para ele de Valentino. É normalíssimo, com calças e blazer, mas o vermelho vibrante dá outro ar e o que realmente o que o diferencia é o cinto com franjas.
