On monday, I went for the first time to a ballet performance. To be exact the Swan Lake by the Russian Classical Ballet. Since I got the chance why not enjoy one of the most famous ballet shows performed by one of the most prestige companies?

Because it's a classical and kind of high class performance, I decided that I just couldn't go with anything. I really thought about it and now I'm here to show you what I wore that night.

~~

One of the main things that I read online was that you shouldn't go to a Ballet show with jeans and sneakers (even less so flip flops). So I definitely had that in mind. On the internet people also recommended going with classic pieces, for example a black dress, and more fancy materials, like satin and velvet. With these guidelines I ended up with a classic look, but at same time modern, grungy and most important of all I could see that it was me.

Because I'm a less feminine in terms of clothing I chose right away pants. Not only it's more comfortable for me, but I felt more confident in come wide leg, bordeaux velvet pants. I also had some bordeaux shoes with a little plataform that really tied up the bottom portion of the look.

Since that day it wasn't that cold, I went for a structured (it has shoulder pads) and oversized (for a more modern look) blazer. The most difficult part for me was the top. I wanted to show some skin, because it helps me look a bit taller, and since I didn't want to look to poshed, I choose a mesh crop top and on top a simple tank - that way it has a more grungy feel but it still looks elegant since it's black against golden jewelry.

In the end, I layered a normal white shirt because I felt my outfit was to dark. I also didn't change my bag and went with a tote bag. I didn't throw off the look and made it more casual.

~~

If you don't know which website is Stylevana, then let me tell you. It's a online store that has basically every single asian skincare brand that is on the market with amazing, low, prices. You can find there from COSRX to Beauty of Joseon - I mean the most known internationally to the most known in the skincare community.

That's great for me, because I'm definitely a skincare junkie, I love everything to do with skincare products (more than makeup). And in this website I could find every brand I wanted. The only doubt that I had was is if everything going to be alright since it's coming from Hong Kong to Portugal. Well, let me answer you that.

~~

Bem, deixem-me responder-vos a isso.

Before I continue, let me disclaim that what I'm telling you is my experience only, I never heard anyone from Portugal talking about their experience with Stylevana. You may have different experiences.

Everything turned out more than alright. One of my main questions was in the total price are they including imposts or not, is it going to stay at customs or not then. Because one law right now is that we have to pay imposts no matter where it's coming from. If you were hesitant about this too, well no worries. At least I had nothing to worry about.

I did an order of 42€, five products, so I still had to pay shipping, which surprinsingly was not that expensive. You could pay for normal, 4,99€, or insured, normal plus extra 4% of your order. I risked it and went for the normal one.

~~

Eu arrisquei e escolhi o normal.

My order arrived on february 2nd, and to summarized it I'm very happy with it. In terms of customs and imposts which was my main worry nothing happened. Supposedly, at least described, I didn't pay for any extra imposts or customs, it came from the Hong Kong warehouse straight to my door.

Every product was in impecable state, even the box, the products came sealed and rolled up in bubble wrap and they even gave one cream sample. So the normal shipping risk paid off.

About how long it took to arrive, it was around two weeks. Since I order was one day more than two weeks, but since they shipped was less than two weeks. In my opinion, for something that comes from Asia is not that long, is actually a very reasonable time to wait.

~~

Overall, I recommend 100% the store/ website. Obviously I can't give you certainity that you will have the same maybe luck, but going for what I experienced I loved everything. The prices are amazing, the waiting time really good, the products were not broken and sealed, has almost every asian brand (specially korean) and they even tell you which ones are cruelty-free and vegan, and lastly and almost most important it didn't end up at customs, so five stars.

~~

Honestly, I can't stop laughing at myself wearing something inspired on the 1920s. It's not really the years that I like the most, in terms of fashion for myself at least (you know the Roaring 20s), and it has a very specific style, from the cut of the dresses to the hats the women use. To summarize, the dresses are normally loose fit and knee length, with lace and, of course, fringes and sometimes some fur; they always have a headband with a lot of feathers; and very formal shoes with small high heels.

~~

For my modern version, I actually tried to mantain the older appear look. I think the transparent tights and the shoes really help in that matter. Another thing, they were big fans of fringes, however I really don't have nothing with it so, that's one point that it's definitely missing.

Basically the dress is not the ideal, but is the best I could do with things I already had - the mesh, the lace - it's more a party look. The hardest part was how am I going to wear the headband. I had something that works, however, since it's modernized I did not used across my forehead, because it's a lot more normal to wear on the head and it still looks really cute with the feathers going down the hair in one side.

~~

I'm not sure if this type of posts are something you like, since I know the fashion is what has more views, however, I've been talking about starting doing vlogs, but I never got around it. So, this year I thought that to see if I like it or not, I have a goal of doing a vlog every month (this one was supposed to be out in january but oh well).

To be honest, I didn't know my monday would be this full, maybe that's why I didn't record much, but I hope you like it and it's something you can watch while relaxing.

~~

My first idea was to do a makeup based on Pentagon's new tittle track, but once I listened to Sparkling Night I threw that idea out of the window right away. This song is everything I never knew I needed from a boygroup.

I'm a regular listener to Pentagon, usually to their tittle tracks, so I'm not sure if this genre of songs is new to them our not. However, I love retro vibe songs - I have been so obsessed with Mago by GFRIEND because of that. And normally are girl groups that do it, that's why I'm in love with this b-side from Pentagon.

~~

For the first time here in the blog I tried to do a more subtle makeup. I also didn't do just the eyes, I tried to illustrate the song in the face makeup too. One thing that didn't change was the colours that I used. I always go for pinks, blues and purples - I just really like this combination and it's also the colours you associate with the word "retro", so it's almost perfect.

Now that I have coloured eyeliners I can do a lot more creative stuff which makes me really happy, however in here the blue line is optional (I like both ways), so I show you how it looks with and without.

The moment I listened to song I imagine pastel colours and glittler (obviously), plus I kind of felt soft vibes, so that's what I tried to emanate. On the other hand, I can also "feel" cuteness, and that's why I used a little bit of blush on my cheeks.

All of the makeup is very ethereal and dreamy, but that's what the song makes me feel. Soft clouds and pastel night skies.

~~

For key products (I'm not counting the concealer, mascara, compact powder, etc. that doesn't really matter for the makeup itself) that I used we have the Jeffree Star X Shane Dawson Conspiracy Palette - shade Pig-ment and Not a Fact; Catrice Pro Slim Eyeshadow Palette - shade Misty Rose and Eccentric; Blush MeMeMe! in the shade Rouge; and Fenty Gloss Bomb.

~~

At the beginning of every year I start a new workout challenge. Not only because Cassey Ho, Blogilates, lauches it, but also because after that time of my birthday, Christmas and New Year, I really need to getting in shape again and specially debloat.

So I came here to talk a bit about my process and how I felt, but also too show you my results, and maybe encourage you to do some working out. The challenge I did is called Glow Up Sessions 2022, and is essentially 22 minutes everyday and it uses equipment, like weights (light and heavy ones), dumbells, yoga mat, booty bands and massage ball or foam roller.

~~

I do have to say that my starting point was very bad, in comparison with my day-to-day state. Not only was I bloated from all the foods from my birthday and my sister's, as well as from Christmas and New Year's Eve, but also I was even more bloated because it was near my period. To give you an idea I usually weight 49kg, and because of all that I gain 2kg (which means I was 51kg and a few grams).

~~

Not gonna lie, the first week was a bit hard. I was not happy with my body, didn't feel good with the bloatness and that would transport for not feeling confident and comfortable on my clothes. Plus, because I wasn't working out that much, the exercise was kind of hard. More, I was very stressed with university.

The second (last) week was very easy. I was already used to the workouts, my period was gone so that bit of bloatness was gone, and obviously my food regime changed completely so I was already at the peak of my results. To help more, since it was also the last week of university I wasn't that stressed anymore.

~~

You can see on my photos that a huge change happened. I do want to keep being healthy and start using more weights so I can tone my body more, maybe get rid of those lower back squishies.

~~

I had a very difficult time choosing what theme I would do this year. In 2020, I did outfits according to my planner, in 2021 I did monochromatic looks and in 2022 I'm going to do yearly outfits. What I mean by that? Well, each month I will do an inspired look on an specific decade, starting on 1910s. Some may be very similar to each other and others may be very different from the actual decade, but this is actually a challenge, I'm looking foward to it.

For january the 1910s are in. It was not easy at all to find something on my closet that even went near the style of this decade, but I hope I did a good job. In these years what really stand out was the big hats, the skirts above the ankle and the curved heels (specially boots).

~~

I don't really now if you can see the 1910 vibes, but it was the best I could do. At first, I wanted a brighter in colour look, but these piece of clothes were the best I had that also look good with each other.

The skirt is not the midi length, but I think it does the job. It has a pattern, gives dimension to the outfit and goes really well with the black blazer - which had to be a blazer because of the shoulder pads. I also wore a normal turtleneck and added a necklace for more elegancy. The boots needed to be pointy and I put on some socks, that you can see, because I thought it gives a modernized touch.

All of it is an inspired, modernized take on the 1910s fashion. Plus, I end up liking it. I feel like an old fashion, classy women from Peaky Blinders.

~~
