It's has been awhile since my last post, and I'm really sorry about that, but life has been chaotic and busy in these last two months and I'm just out here trying to manage everything. But putting that aside for now, I want to release this, FINALLY.

About two months ago, me and my sister started a week long journey that was long overdue. We did what we promised to each other that we would do when I finished university - travel to Sydney, Australia!

Australia was always the dream destination to my sister, and for me honestly, always felt like I dream, something too far away. But nothing is impossible. So on the november 20th, we entered a plane to Dubai, and from there a plane to Sydney. It was the longest flight I believe I will ever do!

We arrived close to midnight on the 21st of november and stayed for 6 days. Departed on the 27th and arrived in Portugal on the 28th around midday.

The days were so simply amazing. Still now, it all feels like a dream. Everything went smoothly, we had fun, got to explore so much from a new continent (believe the days were more than enough to visit Sydney), and also discover new parts of ourselves. Just two girlys out in the world.

I freaking saw up close the Sydney Opera House! I even had the pleasure and opportunity to ran there. I'm so really grateful for this opportunity. This experience and travel made me realize, all over again, the beauty of travelling.

Já passou algum tempo desde o meu último post, e peço imensa desculpa por isso, mas a vida tem estado um pouco caótica e muito atribulada nestes últimos dois meses e eu tenho estado aqui apenas a tentar gerir tudo. Mas pondo isso de parte por agora, eu quero lançar isto, FINALMENTE.

Há volta de dois meses atrás, eu e a minha irmã começámos a nossa jornada de uma semana, que já estava para acontecer há bastante tempo. Fizemos o que prometemos que faríamos quando eu acabasse a universidade - viajar para a Austrália, Sydney!

Austrália sempre foi o destino de sonho da minha irmã, e honestamente para mim, sempre pareceu um sonho, algo que está demasiado distante. Mas nada é impossível. Por isso, no dia 20 de novembro entrámos num avião em direção ao Dubai e onde mudámos para outro em direção a Sydney. Foi sem dúvida um voo longo, provavelmente o mais longo que alguma vez farei!

Chegámos perto da meia noite do dia 21 de novembro e ficámos por 6 dias. Voltámos no dia 27 e chegámos a Portugal no dia 28 por volta do meio-dia.

Os dias foram tão simplesmente incríveis. Até agora, parece tudo um sonho. Tudo correu sem nenhum contratempo, divertimo-nos, explorámos um novo continente (acreditem os dias foram mais do que suficientes para visitar Sydney), e também deu para descobrirmos novas coisas sobre nós. Apenas duas raparigas soltas no mundo.

Eu vi perto do meu nariz a Sydney Opera House! Até tive o privilégio e gosto de correr lá perto. Eu estou mesmo muito grata por esta oportunidade. A experiência e a viagem fizeram relembrar, de novo, o quão bonito é viajar.

 Honestly speaking I never really put too much thought into the clothes I wear to the airport. First because my flights are usually quick, and secondly I don't really care how I look, I just want to be comfortable. However, on this last trip, my flight to Australia, I did think about what I was going to wear to my almost 24 hour flight. I still wanted to be comfortable, but is not just whatever that is going to be good. And I also wanted to feel fashionable.

So, with that said, I decided to give you some ideas through what wore to Australia and coming back. That means two outfits, similar but also a bit different.

Falando honestamente, eu nunca penso muito nas roupas que vou levar para o aeroporto. Primeiro porque os voos são relativamente rápidos, e segundo eu não quero muito saber de como é que estou, só quero estar confortável. Todavia, nesta última viagem, o meu voo para a Austrália, eu tinha de pensar o que iria usar num voo de quase 24 horas. Eu queria na mesma estar confortável, mas não é qualquer coisa que funciona para tantas horas. E na verdade também queria estar estilosa.

Por isso, com isto dito, decidi dar-vos algumas ideias através do que eu vesti para a ir para a Austrália e na volta. Quer dizer, portanto, dois outfits, similares, mas diferentes.

If you have been seeing my social media recently, you know that a big part of my outfits is colour. I do love me some black pieces, but I also love vibrant and colourful clothing. And it was on that side that leaned over. That decision because the colour, in this case, lilac, is going to give the stylish factor to the pieces that I chose. 

I went for some basic and a bit loose sweatpants, just some sneakers and a fitted crop top, that way almost feel like skin and nothing is bothering you, like some bell sleeves or added beads. A tip is to use the layers strategy on flights, because it can get hot and cold.

Se têm seguido as minhas redes sociais, sabem que grande parte dos meus visuais é a cor. Eu gosto de introduzir peças pretas, mas também adoro roupa vibrante e colorida. E foi mais para esse lado que eu me inclinei. Esta decisão porque a cor, neste caso o lilás, irão dar o fator estilo à roupa que optei vestir.

Fui para umas calças de fato de treino básicas e um pouco largas, uns ténis e um top curto justo ao corpo, porque assim quase que parece pele e nada me está a incomodar, como umas mangas largas ou missangas. Um conselho, no avião é sempre melhor optar pela estratégia das camadas, porque tanto pode estar frio como calor. 

Sydney, Australia to Lisbon, Portugal

This outfit is a bit different because of one single reason: my flight was at night, dinner time, so I had a long day before I had to catch the plane. My tip one these cases is keeping some clothes on your backpack, so you can change when you arrive to the airport. 

In my case, I only changed the pants. I had my cow print ones and changed to the an athletic pair. And surprisingly the buttons on the side did not bother me. These pants were very nice because since their are baggy, they don't restrict my legs when they start to swollen.

Again, for the top I went for a skin like body and a knitwear one top of it. Nevertheless, I always carried on flights a bigger sweatshirt in case I get really cold. For shoes, I used my buffalo because their are a bit big on me, and just like the pants, they won't bother when my feet start to swell.

Este outfit é ligeiramente diferente por uma única razão: o meu voo era apenas à noite, hora do jantar, por isso ainda tive um longo dia antes de ter de apanhar o avião. A minha dica nestes casos é levar sempre uma muda de roupa na mochila para depois trocar no aeroporto.

No meu caso, foi só preciso as calças. Levavas as calças de padrão de vaca e mudei para umas com um estilo mais atlético. E surpreendentemente os botões não me incomodaram. Estas calças foram mesmo boas porque não restringiram as minhas pernas quando elas começaram a inchar, uma vez que eram largas.

Outra vez, para a blusa escolhi um body quase como pele e por cima uma malha. Mesmo assim, carrego sempre comigo uma sweatshirt mais grossa no caso de começar a ter frio. Para os sapatos, escolhi os meus ténis Buffalo porque eles ficam-me um pouco grandes, e assim, tal como as calças, não me vão incomodar quando os pés começarem a inchar.

 I never really understood these, until I actually started working and realized that they are actually so much fun. Work's Christmas Dinners are always bound to make something happen, but nonetheless it's a great way to gather people and get along with each other. Obviously the way I dress to a friend's dinner it's going to be different to the way I dress to a company's dinner. And that's what I'm going to show you. A very simple, sophisticated but also comfortable way of dressing to your work's dinner. 

Before anything, I''m sorry about the photos. Unfortunately I did not take much outfit focus photos at the dinner, so this will have to do.

Eu nunca compreendi muito bem os jantares de natal, até realmente participar num e ver que são divertidos. Eles estão claramente ligados a acontecer algo, mas mesmo assim são uma boa maneira de juntar toda a gente de forma a conviver-mos. Obviamente que a maneira como me visto para um jantar com amigos é diferente da forma como me vou vestir para jantares de empresas. E é isso que vos quero mostrar. Um conjunto simples, sofisticado mas confortável, ideal para jantares de trabalho.

Antes de mais pedir desculpa pelas fotos. Infelizmente não tirei muitas fotos no jantar em que o foco era o look, por isso isto terá de servir.

Definitely make sure to adapt to your own style. I'm not much into high heels, but if you are for sure use it, because this is a great opportunity to do so.

As you can see, I went for the colour black as in overall, since it gives that elegance and powerfullness. You can opt for a pop of colour somewhere else, and I think it's a great idea too. I also decided to not use crop tops. First, it is cold right now here in Portugal, but secondly, I don't think it looks professional. It's really on few occasions that it might work.

That way, I went for a ballon sleeve mesh shirt with a very subtle red roses pattern, paired with black flared jeans (not exactly jeans, because the material is different) and for the feet, I wore shoes, not sneakers. One with a platform so it would work with my pants. The belt just adds a bit more to my waist and pulls the outfit together.

Definitivamente, adaptem a roupa ao vosso próprio estilo. Eu não sou muito de saltos altos, mas se vocês são, usem-nos, porque esta é a oportunidade ideal para o fazer.

Como podem ver, eu fui pela cor preto num geral, uma vez que dá um ar de elegância e poder. Podem optar por adicionar um foco de cor algures, e eu totalmente apoio. Eu decidi não usar camisola curtas: primeiro, porque está frio agora em Portugal; e segundo não acho que seja muito profissional. E muito poucas ocasiões assim que pode funcionar.

Desta forma, escolhi um camisa de transparência com mangas em balão e com um padrão subtil de rosas vermelhas, combinada com umas calças à boca de sino (não é exatamente ganga, porque o toque é diferente) e para os pés, calcei sapatos, não ténis. Uns com plataforma porque funcionavam melhor com as minhas calças. O cinto faz acentuar a minha cintura e dá uma finalização ao visual.

 This past week and some more days have been just incredible. I got to travel to far far away (if you follow me on instagram you would know to where) and experience a totally different continent. But to make that trip possible, I had the longest flight I ever did. All combined, because I had one stop, around 21/22 hours.

The flight itself was pretty rough being completely honest, but that's not what I came here to talk about. I'm here to show you that the jet lag is so real.

I have done some long flights, usually around 8 hours and even in those I do feel a bit jet laged, but with a nap I get on track. This time it was different. I felt jetlaged for two days. The day I arrived, I'm going to tell you the truth, I slept basically all day. I got home at 1p.m., took a shower, told some things to my mom and organized a bit of my stuff and simply fell asleep on the sofa. Woke up and it was already dinner time.

I didn't even fight against it, I just got some food into my stomach, did my night routine and went straight to bed again. And I admit, the next day I only got up at 10:30a.m. What really got me through the day was keeping me occupied.

I did not plan a lot to do the next day. I was just going with the flow, but I obviously set some goals. Still in the morning I wanted to make some breakfast. It was a way for me to start slowly getting into the routine. And after that I just stayed in the living room eating and watching some videos on the tv.

After lunch, before I might fall asleep on the sofa, I decided to unpack my suitcase and rest of the trip's stuff. I do have still some things laying around, but the majority is organized. After that I went on the pc and started to get updated on the things that I left behind. Setting my blog, freelancer work and videos in order.

Because I felt getting tired and I didn't really want to exaust myself, me and my sister decided to go watch some series. And I basically stayed doing the same untill I had to start getting ready for my company's christmas dinner.

This dinner helped me in some way, but also worsen things too because: one it helped because I did not sleep more and also puts me back on "real life", however second, it's not that good because I arrived pretty late at home so my body rather than getting rest had more stress put upon.

One tip that I give is drink a lot of water during the next couple of days. The flights drain a lot of water from our bodies, and the oxygen in there is not that pure, so be reminded to cleanse your organism afterwards.

Esta semana passada e mais alguns dias tem sido incrível. Tive a oportunidade de viajar para muito longe (se me seguem no instagram sabem para onde fui) e experienciar um novo continente. Mas para tornar essa viagem possível tive de fazer o voo mais longo, meu, até agora. Tudo combinado, porque tinha uma escala, demorei cerca de 21/22 horas.

O voo em si foi um bocado difícil, sendo honesta, mas não é sobre isso que venho falar. Venho aqui mostrar-vos que o jet lag é mesmo real.

Eu já fiz alguns voos longos, usualmente de 8 horas e mesmo esses sinto-me jet laged, mas com uma sesta reinicio. Desta vez foi diferente. Senti as horas trocadas durante dois dias. O dia em que cheguei, simplesmente dormi o dia todo. Cheguei a casa por volta da uma da tarde, tomei banho, contei algumas coisas à minha mãe e organizei algumas das minhas coisas e depois apenas deixei-me dormir no sofá. Acordei e já era hora do jantar.

Nem lutei contra isso, comi alguma coisinha, fiz a minha rotina da noite e fui direta para a cama. E admito, no dia seguinte apenas me levantei às 10:30. O que realmente me ajudou a manter acordada foi estar ocupada.

Não planeei muita coisa para o dia seguinte. Ia ao sabor do vento, mas obviamente tinha alguns objetivos em mente. Ainda de manhã, preparei o pequeno-almoço, uma forma de voltar à rotina. E depois disso fui para a sala ver uns vídeos e comer.

Depois do almoço, antes que eu ficasse a dormir no sofá, decidi desarrumar a mala e as restantes coisas da viagem. Ainda tenho algumas coisas aqui e ali, mas a maioria está organizada. Depois fui para o computador e comecei a atualizar as minhas tarefas. O meu blogue, o meu trabalho freelancer e os vídeos.

Uma vez que me senti um bocado cansada e não queria ficar exausta, eu e a minha irmã decidimos ver algumas séries. E basicamente ficámos assim até serem horas de eu me começar a arranjar para o jantar de natal da empresa.

Este jantar de certa forma ajudou-me mas também piorou as coisas: primeiro, ajudou porque não fiquei a dormir a tarde toda e também porque pôs-me de volta na "vida real"; contudo, segundo, não foi muito bom, porque já cheguei bastante tarde e o meu corpo em vez de descansar ficou com ainda mais stress. 

Uma dica é bebam muita água durante os próximos dias. Os voos absorvem muita da água que temos nos nossos corpos devido ao ar dentro do avião não ser puro e daí o uso de ar condicionado, assim é bom que desintoxiquem o vosso organismo.

 As always, I like to mark Stray Kids comeback everytime they make one. No doubt, that it comes to a point that I keep repeating ideas. However, even though it's simple, I'm very proud of this eye makeup. It seems simple, but at the same time it has a complexity to it.

Also, decided to post it now since SKZ finally won at Music Core, after 6 years of existence. So, congrats to Stray Kids and, of course, STAY.

Como sempre, eu gosto de marcar os comebacks dos Stray Kids aqui no meu blog. Sem sombra de dúvidas, que chega um ponto que começo a repetir ideias. Porém, mesmo sendo simples, estou muito orgulhosa desta maquilhagem. Podem parecer sem grandes técnicas, mas ao mesmo tempo tem alguma complexidade.

Dizer também que escolhi postar agora porque os SKZ finalmente ganharam no programa Music Core, depois de 6 anos de existência. Por isso, parabéns aos Stray Kids e, claro, às STAYs.

As you can see there is not much to it. Unlike other times that I did a makeup based on songs and it come from my interpretation of it, this time I went plain. I thought that their logo for this album was already pretty cool, that's why I decided to draw it on the eyes. Plus it's a two word tittle, which is perfect. 

To make it more interesting, I also did a line in the inner corners to represent the hifen. Obviously I went for the colour pink, because it's the tittle colour. At the same time I went for a shimmery pink for the eyelids with a eyeshadow black eyeliner. I think the contrast between the two is very emo grunge, which is the vibe I get from this new album.

I used for the eyeliner the pastel pink from SUVA beauty UV Taffies palette and for the eyeshadows I used the same palette from Catrice the Pro Peach Origin Slim.

Como podem ver, não tem assim nada de especial. Ao contrário das outras vezes que fiz maquilhagem de músicas e que vinha da minha interpretação delas, desta vez fui concreta. Achei que o logotipo deste álbum era bastante fixe, por isso incorporei da maquilhagem de olhos. Para mais, tem apenas duas palavras, o que é perfeito.

Para tornar mais interessante, fiz um risco em ambos os cantos dos olhos para representar o hífen. Obviamente que fui para a cor rosa, uma vez que é a cor do título. Ao mesmo tempo utilizei uma sombra rosa brilhante para as pálpebras e fiz um delineado com sombra preta. Gostei deste contraste porque remete para o estilo emo grunge, que é a sensação que retiro deste novo álbum.

Usei para o eyeliner a cor rosa pastel da paleta UV Taffies da SUVA Beauty e para as sombras usei a mesma paleta da Catrice a Pro Peach Origin Slim.

 The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes goes back in time in terms of all of the rest of the films of the saga. And tell us the story of Coriolanus Snow and how did he become the President of the Games.

Directed by Francis Lawrence, the prequel touch on subjects like how the games began, the first game and their evolution. But primarily focus on the journey of the president of Panem, 64 years before that, and how he had to mentor Lucy Gray Bird, the female tribute from District 12, so he had a chance to a change in his life.

I can’t compare the film to the book, since I didn’t read it, consequently, don’t expect me to do comparisons.

I have to begin by saying that this prequel did not disappoint me at all. In fact, I would go further and say that it’s probably at the same level as the others films of the saga. Maybe more incline to the last ones, because of having more storyline rather than just the annual game. I say this as a compliment, because usually prequels are not that good.

Speaking of cinematography and directing, I really enjoyed the fact that they tried to keep everything cohesive and similar to the other films. And I say that in terms of colours, scenarios (even though you can see it passes in an older timeline), and narration order. In my opinion, it’s nice to not see this film dislocated from the rest.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes features Tom Blyth as young President Snow, Rachel Zegler as Lucy Gray Bird and Viola Davis as Dr. Volumnia Gaul (a crazy asset to the games). I have to say, this cast couldn’t have been better. The performances are just amazing and even without reading the book, I felt that at least Tom Blyth was very true to the personality of Snow on the other films. 

Also the sound and music is very present throughout all of the film, it gets borderline a musical. I was not a fan at how much singing it is involved at the beginning, but you definitely get used to it because it is important to the story. And Rachel Zegler does a really good job with her character.

After all that, even though I could say you can watch this one first, prior to the other four, there is definitely hints of the other ones and it’s nice to connect that dots.

Finally, I have to say that I for sure recommend this new Hunger Games film. There is definitely a focus on a villain in here, but I never felt a complete passion to him, which is great because we know how mean Snow is. I believe every fan is going to like the film even if it is only on a nostalgic feel. I would give The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes a 4 out of 5. I was absorbed into this world on the first second.

Oh, and don’t need to wait for the credits to roll, because there is not post-credits scene, on any occasion. That end is the end. However, I can see a next film to this one.

The Hunger Games: A Balada dos Pássaros e das Serpentes volta atrás no tempo em relação a todos os outros filmes da saga. E conta-nos a história de Coriolanus Snow e como se tornou o Presidente dos jogos. 

Realizado por Francis Lawrence, a prequela aborda assuntos como o início dos jogos, o primeiro jogo e sua evolução. Mas concentra-se principalmente na jornada do presidente da Panem, 64 anos antes, e como teve que ser o mentor de Lucy Gray Bird, a tributo feminina do Distrito 12, para que tivesse uma oportunidade de uma mudança na sua vida.

Não posso comparar o filme com o livro, pois não o li, consequentemente, não esperem que faça comparações. 

Devo começar por dizer que esta prequela não me dececionou em nada. Na verdade, eu iria mais longe e diria que provavelmente está ao mesmo nível dos demais filmes da saga. Talvez mais inclinado para os últimos, por ter mais enredo do que apenas o jogo anual. Digo isto como um elogio, porque geralmente as prequelas não são tão boas assim. 

Falando em fotografia e direção, gostei muito do facto de terem tentado manter tudo coeso e parecido com os outros filmes. Falo em termos de cores, cenários (mesmo que possam ver que se passa em uma linha do tempo mais antiga) e ordem de narração. Na minha opinião, é bom não ver este filme deslocado dos restantes.

 The Hunger Games: A Balada dos Pássaros e das Serpentes apresenta Tom Blyth como o jovem Presidente Snow, Rachel Zegler como Lucy Gray Bird e Viola Davis como Dra. Volumnia Gaul (um criador dos jogos). Devo dizer que este elenco não poderia ter sido melhor. As atuações são simplesmente incríveis e mesmo sem ler o livro, senti que pelo menos Tom Blyth foi muito fiel à personalidade de Snow nos outros filmes. 

Além disso, o som e a música estão muito presentes ao longo de todo o filme, chega a ser quase um musical. Eu não estava a gostar tanto do quanto cantar estava envolvido no início, mas depois definitivamente acostumei-me. Até porque é importante para a história. E a Rachel Zegler faz um ótimo trabalho com sua personagem. 

Depois de tudo isto, embora eu possa dizer que podem assistir este primeiro, antes dos outros quatro, definitivamente há pequenas coisas dos outros que se menciona neste e é giro conectar esses pontos. 

Por fim, dizer que com certeza recomendo este novo filme dos The Hunger Games. Sem dúvida que há um foco no vilão aqui, mas nunca senti uma paixão completa por ele, o que é ótimo porque sabemos o quão mau Snow é. Acredito que todo o fã vai gostar do filme, mesmo que seja apenas por um sentimento nostálgico. Eu daria a The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes uma nota de 4 em 5. Fui completamente absorvida por este mundo desde o primeiro segundo. 

Ah, e não precisam de esperar os créditos rolarem, porque não tem cena pós-créditos, em nenhuma ocasião. Esse fim é o fim. No entanto, consigo ver acontecer um filme depois deste.

 This post comes a bit late, I know, but bear with me because I have a lot things to do right now: with one trip coming soon, my freelancer work, studies, christmas right around the corner and also the end of the year.

But we're here to talk about Halloween, this iconic date that each year I see more people celebrating. And I'm not an exception. In fact the whole week I've been doing my makeup keeping the horror/scary theme in mind. And it's one of those ideas that I decided to show you.

I do work at a store, where I have a lot of contact with the public, where I need to keep everything hygienic and I also have an uniform, so not everything looks good.

Este post já vem um pouco atrasado, eu sei, mas tenham paciência. Nestas semanas, tenho tido muita coisa para fazer: uma viagem prestes a acontecer, o trabalho freelancer, estudos, o Natal já a caminho e também o final do ano.

Mas estamos aqui para falar sobre o Halloween, esta data icónica que todos os anos eu vejo mais gente a celebrar. E eu não sou exceção. Sinceramente, durante toda esta semana fiz a minha maquilhagem com o tema de terror. E é uma dessas ideias que vos quero mostrar.

Eu trabalha numa loja, onde tenho bastante contacto com o público e onde tenho de manter tudo higiénico e claro uso uniforme, por isso nem tudo fica bem.

I believe this is not a known thing about me in the social media, but if you have kept a closed eye and attetion to detail to my fashion and makeup posts, you would see that I love my colourful eyeliner and different eye makeup designs. As you can imagine, I did lean a lot on that.

For a work-friendly scary makeup idea, I decided to leave almost everything to the eyes. I mean, the eyes are the windows to the soul. And I went for only 3 colours: black, white and red. I did not use lipstick, because of hygienic purposes, but if you can I definitely support you on using a bright red or something in tones of wine.

I did my normal skin makeup - some concealer and powder - with an extra dash of blush than I normally do. For the eyes, I did a longer and sharper black eyeliner than my usual, I used the one from Mercadona, and on the wing I tried to do a small little ghost contorning it. The white eyeliner is from 3ina, and since it is a pen it's easier to do the curvelines. 

On the bottom lashes I used a red eyeshadow from the Naked Heat Palette for a more sinister look and to finalize and give it a glow, a dot of gold eyeshadow in the inner corner.

Eu acredito que isto não é uma coisa sabida pelas redes sociais, mas se tiveram olho para os detalhes nas minhas postagens de moda e maquilhagem, aperceberam-se que eu adoro delineador colorido e desenhos como maquilhagem de olhos. Como podem imaginar, encostei-me muito a isso.

Para um look amigável para o trabalho, decidi focar-me essencialmente nos olhos. Dizem que os olhos são as janelas da nossa alma. E apenas fui para 3 cores: preto, branco e vermelho. Não pus batom por causa dos propósitos de higiene, mas se puderem usar eu apoio-vos a usarem um vermelho ou tons de vinho.

Fiz a minha maquilhagem de pele normal - corretor e pó compacto - com uma pitada extra de blush a mais do que já faço normalmente. Para os olhos, fiz um delineado preto mais longo e afiado do que o meu habitual, e usei um do Mercadona. Na asa tentei fazer um pequeno fantasma a contornar. O eyeliner branco é da 3ina, e sendo que é em formato caneta, é muito mais fácil para fazer as linhas curvas.

Perto das pestanas inferiores, utilizei sombra vermelha da Paleta Naked Heat, para um look mais sinistro. E para finalizar e dar um pouco de luminosidade, uma pinta de dourado no canto do olho.
