I've been avoiding doing a post about k-dramas because I still feel like I haven't watch enough to give a proper list, even though I've already watched 30+. But since this is a special occasion and we have to stay indoors, why not bingewatch some very romantic (sometimes cheesy) korean dramas? Therefore, I wanted to give you my 5 recommendations of romance k-dramas to watch on February 14th.

Note, in any means I'm telling you these are the best ones, is just according to what I have watched. There are tons of other ones I still want to see.

Eu tenho evitado fazer um post sobre dramas coreanos, porque eu ainda sinto que não vi os suficientes para vos dar uma lista adequada, mesmo que eu até já tenha visto mais de 30. Mas visto que é uma ocasião especial e temos que nos manter em casa, porque não bingewatch alguns k-dramas românticos (por vezes cliché)? Portanto, eu quero-vos recomendar 5 romances coreanos para ver no dia 14 de Fevereiro.

Nota, com isto não estou a dizer que estes são os melhores, apenas são de acordo com os que eu já vi. Ainda existem muitos mais que eu quero ver.

This k-drama were once my favourite, but since so many are always coming out, it becomes difficult to say that so surely - but it's definitely on my top3. I chose Goblin because not only has a fantasy romance storyline but it also gives a very mature atmosphere.

It talks about "Kim Shin, who was once an unbeatable general in Goryeo's military, now possesses immortality. For 900 years, Kim Shin has searched for his bride, a mortal who can pull out the sword and end his life. One day, he encounters Ji Eun Tak, a high school student, that claims to be the Goblin's bride, but what appears to be an easy task, only gets complicated." ~MyDramaList

Este drama coreano já foi o meu favorito, mas visto que estão sempre a sair mais, fica difícil dizer isso com certezas - mas está definitivamente no meu top3. Escolhi Goblin, porque não só é um romance com fantasia como também tem uma atmosfera mais madura.

Fala sobre "Kim Shin, um general do exército de Goryeo, que possui imortalidade. Há 900 anos que Km Shin procura a sua noiva, uma mortal que consegue-lhe tirar a espada e acabar a sua vida. Um dia, ele encontra Ji Eun Tak, uma aluna do secundário, que diz ser a noiva do Goblin, mas o que parece ser uma tarefa fácil, apenas continua a tornar-se cada vez mais complicada." ~trad. Search:WWW is for all the feminists and single ladies out there. This drama is all about women empowerment. Even though it gives a very strong women vibe, it also has a very beautiful and natural romance.

"This drama is about the conflicts, the wins, and losses one experiences when working. It will follow the story of 21st century women, who chose to not be a wife or a mother and successfully work without discrimination or impediments." ~MyDramaList

Search:WWW é para as feministas e as meninas solteiras. Este drama é sobre empoderamento feminino. Ainda que tenha um ambiente de "mulheres ao poder", também tem um romance bastante bonito e natural.

"Este drama é sobre conflitos, ganhos, percas que alguém experiencia no trabalho. Segue a história de mulheres do século XXI, que escolhem não ser esposas nem mães para trabalharem de forma bem sucedida sem impedimentos nem discriminação". ~trad. MyDramaList

The third one is perfect for all the k-pop fans. I'm pretty sure we all think about, from time to time, what it's to have a boyfriend but you are still "fangirling" about another man. This mature romance will show you what real life romance feels like.

O terceiro é perfeito para os fãs de k-pop. Tenho algumas certezas que, de vez em quando, pensamos o que é ter um namorado, mas ao mesmo estármos a "fangirlar" outro homes. Este romance maduro vai-vos mostrar o que o romance da vida real deve ser.

"Uma profissional dedicada, Sung Deok Mi vive para o seu trabalho como uma curadora de uma galeria de arte. Debaixo dessa façada profissional, Deok Mi carrega um segredo. Ela é a ultimate fã do Cha Shi An, ainda uma criadora de um site de fã do Shi An.

Até que Ryan Gold o novo diretor da galeria de arte, entra na sua vida. E acaba por descobrir o  segredo de Deok Mi, e é ai que tudo muda" ~trad. MyDramaList

This k-drama caught my eye from the start with is very creative storyline. For a more younger audience, Extra-ordinary You has a very young and comedic atmosphere. However, it's not you typical highschool drama.

"Eun Dan Oh is a 17-year-old high-school student from a wealthy family who suffers from a lifelong heart condition. However, when Dan Oh realizes she is experiencing long gaps in her memory as well, she comes into another fact in her life: she is a character in a Korean webtoon and all of her actions are predetermined by the artist who draws her." ~MyDramaList

Este k-drama chamou-me à atenção desde o início com a sua história muito creativa. Para uma audiência mais jovem, Extra-ordinary You tem uma atmosfera bastante nova e cómica. No entanto, não é o típico drama de secundário.

"Eun Dan Oh é uma aluna do secundário com 17 anos que provém de uma família rica e que sofre de uma doença no coração. Contudo, quando Dan Oh se apercebe que está a experienciar cortes na sua memória  também, ela reconhece outro facto sobre a sua vida: ela é uma personagem num webtoon coreano e todas as suas ações são pré-determinadas pelo artista que a desenhou". ~trad. Now here we enter the more cheesy part of the korean dramas. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this show, but I can't lie: the drama is very cliché, it has all the cheesy aspects you can think about, the rich families, the poor girl and the highschool romance.

"Kim Tan is the heir to Empire Group who has been sent to study abroad in the U.S. While in the States, Kim Tan meets Cha Eun Sang, who arrived from Korea in search of her older sister. He feels himself falling for her, never realizing that she's the daughter of his family's housekeeper. Agora sim entramos na área mais cliché (até diria brega) dos dramas coreanos. Não me levem a mal, eu adoro absolutamente este drama, mas não posso mentir: o show é muito pindérico até um certo ponto, tem as famílias ricas, a rapariga pobre e o romance de secundário.

"Kim Tan é o herdeiro do Grupo Empire que foi mandado para estudar no EUA. Enquanto está lá, Kim Tan conhece Cha Eun Sang, que acabou de aterra da Coreia para ir à procura da sua irmã mais velha. Ele vê-se a apaixonar-se por ela, nunca se apercebendo que ela é a filha da empregada da sua família. Quando a sua noiva Rachel Yoo chega para o trazer de volta para a Coreia, o seu coração encontra-se dividido entre amor e dever". ~trad. MyDramaList
