I don't know if this is getting boring to you or not, maybe you prefer more outfits and not makeup - i don't know, please, let me know...

I feel like every new year I start stanning a new k-pop boygroup. Last year, it was VICTON, I already listen to some of their songs, but with the "nostalgic night" and "howling" comeback I started stanning them. I had a similar experience with this group. I'm talking about ONF (you read on and off) - I remember that when they had their "Why" comeback I was obsessed with that album, "Moscow Moscow" is a masterpiece... But apart from that I was a casual listener. With this new comeback, I'm not one anymore - honestly I fell deeper in love because of "The Realist", a masterpiece too. 

With that said I thought that doing a makeup inspired in a such colourful music video, Beautiful Beautiful, would be very fun, and it was, specially in a creative point of view.

Eu não sei se se está a tornar aborrecido para vocês ou não, talvez prefiram outfits e não maquilhagens - não sei, por favor, digam-me...

No começo de todos os anos, eu vejo-me a começar a apoiar um novo grupo de k-pop. O ano passado foram os VICTON, eu já ouvia as suas músicas, mas com "nostalgic night" e "howling" eu comecei realmente a apoiá-los. Eu tive uma experiência semelhante com este grupo. Estou a falar dos ONF (lê-se "on and off") - eu lembro-me quando saiu "Why" eu ficar obcecada com o álbum, "Moscow Moscow" é uma obra de arte... Mas sem ser isso era uma ouvinte casual. Com este novo comeback, já não o sou -  honestamente eu apaixonei-me mais por causa da "The Realist", obra de arte também.

Com isto dito, pensei que fazer uma maquilhagem inspirada neste super colorido videoclipe, Beautiful Beautiful, seria divertido, e foi, especialmente no ponto de vista da criatividade.

For this makeup I actually used a lot of different eyeshadow, as you can see. But the key point of this eye look is the blue crease liner, which I don't never usually do, however I really like how it turned out and I may start doing more times.

Then, the construction of the makeup I obviously took inspiration by the music video. The eyeliner it's to represent the bridge and I used blue because the mv has a lot of blue in it. For the lid, I used the three colours that it's representing the ground, the members and the buildings - brownish orange, vibrant blue and redish pink. Last, the upper lid, I just used a very bright yellow to portray the neon lights on the sky.

Para esta maquilhagem eu utilizei bastantes sombras diferentes, como podem ver. Mas o ponto principal é o eyeliner em cima azul, que eu usualmente nunca faço, contudo, gostei bastante de como ficou no final por isso posso vir a fazer mais vezes.

Depois, para a construção da maquilhagem obviamente tirei inspiração do videoclipe. O eyeliner representa a ponte e escolhi azul porque a cor que realça mais é sem dúvida o azul. Para a pálpebra, usei três cores que representam o chão, os membros da banda e os prédios - laranja acastanhado, azul vibrante e rosa avermelhado. Por último, por cima da pálpebra, apliquei um amarelo brilhante para representar as luzes neon no céu.

It's the beginning of a new month and all of you know what that means by now, right? It's time for the outfit of the month, and on march we wear dark blue.
Honestly, as you can imagine, this one was one of the easiest outfit I had to come up with since my monthly outfit series, not only the monochromatic one. Even though the weather is getting better, at least here in Portugal, dark blue didn't go that badly as you might though. Obviously, I did try my best to combine pieces that were different from my previous looks and that would be a nice transition outfit.

É o início de um novo mês e já todos sabem o que isso quer dizer, certo? É altura do outfit do mês, e em março vestimos azul escuro.
Honestamente, como podem imaginar, este outfit foi um dos mais fáceis que tive que criar desde a minha série de outfits do mês, não apenas os monocromáticos. Mesmo o clima esteja a melhorar, pelo menos aqui em Portugal, azul escuro não ficou assim tão mal como podem ter pensado. Obviamente que dei o meu melhor para combinar peças que fossem diferentes dos meus visuais anteriores e que fosse um bom look de transição de estações.

The sun is out, there's no doubt, but the weather is still a bit chilly, is not that hot, so I couldn't go completely spring vibes. 

This month I decided to use a vest - that are trending a lot right now - with a more lightweight top underneath, but if you are in a hotter place you can use the vest alone and if you are in a colder place you can put a fluffly turtleneck underneath. For the jeans, I had to use a wide-leg style (or some flare ones), this type, for me, calls spring - I can imagine going like that for a beautiful picnic. Accesories wise, is a tiny bit more difficult because I only use gold jewelry, but I was able to had a tote bag and some rings.

Já se vê o sol, não existe dúvidas, mas o tempo continua um pouco frio, não está assim tanto calor, por isso não podia ir completamente com peças de primavera.

Este mês eu decidi vestir um colete - que estão muito na moda agora - com um top mais fresco por baixo, mas se estão num sítio mais quente podem usar o colete sozinho e se, por outro lado, estão num sítio mais frio podem utilizar por baixo uma gola alta fofa. Para as calças de ganga optei um estilo wide-leg (podia ser também flare), porque este corte, para mim, chama primavera - consigo imaginar ir assim a um lindo piquenique. Acessórios, é um pouco mais difícil visto que só uso dourado, mas consegui adicionar mais uma mala de pano e alguns anéis.

For the past month I've been trying a new brand, a curly hair care brand. These past few months taking care of my curls have been something I want to do more, not only because it's difficult and it's not like taking care of straight hair and because when my curls are define and shine it makes me more confident. And that's why I start using Bouclème, a curly girl method approved brand.

If you never hear about Bouclème, according to their website, the brand was created to help curly hairs to be more healthy, frizz-free, shiny and define using only natural ingredients and their products are parabens, sulphate and silicone free. Durante o mês passado estive a testar uma nova marca, marca de cuidado de caracóis. Nestes meses passados, cuidar dos meus caracóis tem sido algo que ando a tentar mais, não apenas porque são mais difíceis e diferentes comparando com cabelo esticado, mas porque quando tenho os caracóis definidos e brilhantes sinto-me mais confiante. Now, for the products I've been trying: I bought I kit on lookfantastic (product here) that it's actually a collaboration between the store and the brand. This kit contains a hydrating hair cleanser, a curl conditioner, a curl defining gel and a super hold styler.

As of my first impressions, those were pretty good, I really enjoyed every product, but I've to admit that I didn't like the smell. The hair cleanser felt like it did took most of the dirt and it even felt like it smoothed out my hair. For the conditioner I felt that he was pretty basic, it did something but I didn't see huge differences to say that it has something special. The defining gel and the hold styler, for me, they're both very similar, not in terms of consistency, but in terms of what they do to my hair. However, I definitely saw differences between them: comparing "the first day" the defining gel provided a lot more definition than the hold styler, notwithstanding that this last one gives great definition. But comparing "the second day", when using the gel I could definitely see that my hair was a lot more oilier and with less definition than when using the styler.

Agora, em relação aos produtos que estou a experimentar: eu comprei um kit na lookfantastic (produto aqui) que por acaso é uma colaboração entre a loja e a marca. Este kit contem um champô hidratante, um condicionador de caracóis, um gel definidor de caracóis e um super estilizador.

Em relação às minhas primeiras impressões, essas foram bastante boas, gostei muito de todos os produtos, mas tenho de admitir que não gostei do cheiro. O champô limpava a maioria da sujidade e até me deixava o cabelo mais macio. O condicionador pareceu-me bastante básico, fez algo, mas nada que eu nota-se grandes diferenças em relação a outros produtos. O gel definidor e o estilizador, para mim, são ambos semelhantes, não em termos de consistência, mas em termos de o que eles fazem ao cabelo. No entanto, eu definitivamente vi diferenças entre eles: comparando "o primeiro dia" o gel forneceu muito mais definição do que o estilizador, não obstante que este último também define bastante. Mas comparando "o segundo dia", quando utilizei o gel consegui sentir que o meu cabelo estava mais oleoso e com menos definição do que quando utilizei o estilizador.

 These days, one piece that has become a even more of a staple in our wardrobe is a sweatshirt - they just are super comfortable and versatile. I believe this one is what everyone thinks when choosing a look with a baggy hoodie. And even though I tried to create other looks out-of-the-box, this one is a great idea. Not only is so comfortable, but it's also not too laid back - perfect to run some things quickly or go for a walk.

Eu acredito que este é o que todos pensamos, quando escolhemos um look com um hoodie largo. Mesmo tentando criar visuais fora da caixa, este é uma grande ideia. Não só é confortável como não é demasiado descontraído - perfeito para fazer algumas coisas rapidamente na rua ou mesmo ir dar um passeio.

If the top is baggy, why not embrace the bagginess? That's what I did, to the hoodie I wore some ripped mom jeans and some combat boots. This way I created a very relaxed, edgy outfit but at the same time it works very well and gives off a very charismatic persona.

Se o top já é largo, porque não abraçar o largo? Foi o que fiz, ao hoodie combinei umas mom jeans com rasgões e combat boots. Desta forma criei um outfit bastante relaxado e arrojado, mas que ao mesmo tempo conjuga muito bem e transmite uma persona com carisma.

At first I had a different idea: you can use a white shirt dress underneath and some high knee boots and it would look great, however I don't have such long shirt to make it work, but I leave here that idea. 

With that out of the way I went for a midi skirt and ankle boots, it still have a relaxed feel to it, but now you can sense that a lot more thought was put into it and it's definitely more eye catching. You can tone the dark vibes by using a different coloured skirt.

Primeiramente eu tinha uma ideia diferente: usar um vestido camisa branco por baixo com umas botas até ao joelho, e ficaria lindo, no entanto eu não tenho uma camisa assim tão comprida, por isso deixei essa ideia.

Com isso dito, optei por uma saia média e botas até ao tornozelo, continua a ter um ar relaxado, mas agora reconhece-se o trabalho posto no visual, e é definitivamente mais atraente ao olho. Podem atenuar o look escuro escolhendo uma saia de uma outra cor.

 If you follow me on my social media, you would know that every morning of the week I like to have a different breakfast and I really appreciate my "Pancake Friday". Since, one day, I found a promotion on a waffle maker I just couldn't resist and I had to buy it. With that I had also to find a good vegan/healthy recipe of waffles, and that's what I'm going to show you.

Se me seguem nas redes sociais, sabem que todas as manhãs da semana eu gosto de variar no meu pequeno-almoço e aprecio bastante a "Sexta de Panquecas". Desde o dia em que encontrei uma promoção numa máquina de waffles, eu não consegui resistir e tive de a comprar. Com isso também tive de encontrar boas receitas vegan/saudáveis de waffles, e é isso que vos vou apresentar.

A Fluffy Vegan Healthy Waffle

INGREDIENTS

• 2 cups of spelt or oat flour (it may work with other flours, but I did not try it)
• 1 tablespoon of maple syrup (you can add more, but since I'm going to drip some after the waffle is cooked I reduce here. Also you can use brown sugar, normal sugar, xilitol, etc.)
• 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
• 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar
• 1 tablespoon of baking powder
• 1.5 cup of almond milk (I use this one, but you can use whatever you like the most)
• 3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
• pinch of salt

INSTRUCTIONS

• Preparation: Do the vegan buttermilk first*. After doing that in a separated bowl, in a bigger bowl mix all the dry ingredients and then add the wet ones including the buttermilk. Mix everything - but not to much, just until combined.
• Scoop & Cook: Now that the mix batter is done, I turn on my waffle maker. When it's already heated, I put around two scoops for each waffle. After the green light appears I wait 2 minutes more, so I get that golden colour.

*Note - For these waffles I did a homemade vegan buttermilk. For the vegan buttermilk the only thing you'll need to do is add onto the almond milk the vanilla extract and also the 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar.

INGREDIENTES

• 2 chávenas de farinha de espelta ou aveia (pode resultar com outros tipo, mas eu não experimentei)
• 1 colher de sopa de xarope de ácer (podem adicionar mais, mas visto que eu vou pôr mais nas waffles prontas, não tenho essa necessidade. Também em vez do xarope, podem escolher açúcar brancos, mascavado, xilitol, etc.)
• 1/2 colher de chá de extrato de baunilha
• 2 colheres de chá de vinagre de maçã
• 1 colher de sopa de fermento em pó
• 1.5 chávena de leite de amêndoa (podem optar pelo que gostarem mais)
• 3 colheres de sopa de óleo de coco
• pitada de sal

INSTRUÇÕES

• Preparação: Primeiro, antes de tudo, fazer o buttermilk vegan*. Depois de fazer isso numa taça em separado, misturo noutra taça maior todos os ingredientes secos e depois vou adicionando os ingredientes húmidos, aqui inclui o buttermilk vegan.
• Colher & Cozinhar: Já com a massa feita, ligo agora a minha máquina. Quando já estiver quente, eu ponho à volta de 2 colheres de massa para cada waffle. Depois da luz verde aceder, eu espero mais 2 minutos para ganhar uma cor mais dourada.

*Nota - Para estas waffles utilizei buttermilk vegan feito em casa. Para o buttermilk vegan a única coisa que irão ter de fazer a mais é adicionar ao leite o extrato de baunilha e as 2 colheres de chá de vinagre de maçã.

Happy Valentine's Day! 

February is the month of love, but do you know what also this month corresponds to? For me the colour purple. Oh, let's not forget that I'm obsessed with all shades of purple - lavender, lilac, pastel - however, strangely, it was quite difficult to put together an outfit, since I thought that doing a "going-out" outfit would be useless, I tried to do a fashionable but comfy, a "stay at home", kind of outfit. And that made everything a bit more tricky because I didn't want to fall on the sweats set route.

Feliz dia de São Valentim/ dia dos Namorados!

Fevereiro é o mês do amo, mas sabem também o que este corresponde a? Para mim à cor roxo. Oh, e não vamos esquecer que eu estou obcecada com todos os tons de roxo - lavanda, lilás, pastel - no entanto, estranhamente, tive dificuldade em combinar as peças, uma vez que eu pensei que um outfit "para sair" seria inútil, eu tentei um look fashionable mas confortável, um "ficar em casa". E isso tornou tudo um pouco mais complicado, porque eu não queria cair na tentação de um set de sweats.

I kept, obviously, with the sweatpants - that had to be my choice. But I tried to choose something more classy for the top - that's why I have a turtleneck, it combines the classiness with the comfy. My goal was to do a super comfortable outfit that you can use at home, but also it would suit to go quickly buy some grocerie outside. 

In my case I wore these cowboy boots just because I thought it would make the look interesting and out of the ordinary, but you can definitely put on some sneakers or even high heels and it will turn out in a super classy look (as I already showed you here).

Eu mantive, obviamente, as joggers - tinha que ser a minha escolha. Mas eu experimentei algo mais clássico para a parte de cima - é por isso que tenho uma gola alta, junta o clássico ao confortável. O meu objetivo era fazer um visual super confortável que podem utilizar em casa, contudo também é apropriável se quiserem ir rapidamente comprar algo à mercearia.

No meu caso eu calcei umas botas de cowboy, porque pensei que tornaria o visual muito mais interessante e fora do normal, todavia podem definitivamente por uns ténis ou mesmo um sapato de salto alto e tornar num visual muito clássico (como já vos mostrei aqui).

 I've been avoiding doing a post about k-dramas because I still feel like I haven't watch enough to give a proper list, even though I've already watched 30+. But since this is a special occasion and we have to stay indoors, why not bingewatch some very romantic (sometimes cheesy) korean dramas? Therefore, I wanted to give you my 5 recommendations of romance k-dramas to watch on February 14th.

Note, in any means I'm telling you these are the best ones, is just according to what I have watched. There are tons of other ones I still want to see.

Eu tenho evitado fazer um post sobre dramas coreanos, porque eu ainda sinto que não vi os suficientes para vos dar uma lista adequada, mesmo que eu até já tenha visto mais de 30. Mas visto que é uma ocasião especial e temos que nos manter em casa, porque não bingewatch alguns k-dramas românticos (por vezes cliché)? Portanto, eu quero-vos recomendar 5 romances coreanos para ver no dia 14 de Fevereiro.

Nota, com isto não estou a dizer que estes são os melhores, apenas são de acordo com os que eu já vi. Ainda existem muitos mais que eu quero ver.

This k-drama were once my favourite, but since so many are always coming out, it becomes difficult to say that so surely - but it's definitely on my top3. I chose Goblin because not only has a fantasy romance storyline but it also gives a very mature atmosphere.

It talks about "Kim Shin, who was once an unbeatable general in Goryeo's military, now possesses immortality. For 900 years, Kim Shin has searched for his bride, a mortal who can pull out the sword and end his life. One day, he encounters Ji Eun Tak, a high school student, that claims to be the Goblin's bride, but what appears to be an easy task, only gets complicated." ~MyDramaList

Este drama coreano já foi o meu favorito, mas visto que estão sempre a sair mais, fica difícil dizer isso com certezas - mas está definitivamente no meu top3. Escolhi Goblin, porque não só é um romance com fantasia como também tem uma atmosfera mais madura.

Fala sobre "Kim Shin, um general do exército de Goryeo, que possui imortalidade. Há 900 anos que Km Shin procura a sua noiva, uma mortal que consegue-lhe tirar a espada e acabar a sua vida. Search:WWW is for all the feminists and single ladies out there. This drama is all about women empowerment. Even though it gives a very strong women vibe, it also has a very beautiful and natural romance.

"This drama is about the conflicts, the wins, and losses one experiences when working. It will follow the story of 21st century women, who chose to not be a wife or a mother and successfully work without discrimination or impediments." ~MyDramaList

Search:WWW é para as feministas e as meninas solteiras. Este drama é sobre empoderamento feminino. Ainda que tenha um ambiente de "mulheres ao poder", também tem um romance bastante bonito e natural.

The third one is perfect for all the k-pop fans. I'm pretty sure we all think about, from time to time, what it's to have a boyfriend but you are still "fangirling" about another man. This mature romance will show you what real life romance feels like.

O terceiro é perfeito para os fãs de k-pop. Tenho algumas certezas que, de vez em quando, pensamos o que é ter um namorado, mas ao mesmo estármos a "fangirlar" outro homes. Este romance maduro vai-vos mostrar o que o romance da vida real deve ser.

"Uma profissional dedicada, Sung Deok Mi vive para o seu trabalho como uma curadora de uma galeria de arte. Debaixo dessa façada profissional, Deok Mi carrega um segredo. Ela é a ultimate fã do Cha Shi An, ainda uma criadora de um site de fã do Shi An.

Até que Ryan Gold o novo diretor da galeria de arte, entra na sua vida. E acaba por descobrir o  segredo de Deok Mi, e é ai que tudo muda" ~trad. MyDramaList

This k-drama caught my eye from the start with is very creative storyline. For a more younger audience, Extra-ordinary You has a very young and comedic atmosphere. However, it's not you typical highschool drama.

"Eun Dan Oh is a 17-year-old high-school student from a wealthy family who suffers from a lifelong heart condition. However, when Dan Oh realizes she is experiencing long gaps in her memory as well, she comes into another fact in her life: she is a character in a Korean webtoon and all of her actions are predetermined by the artist who draws her." ~MyDramaList

Este k-drama chamou-me à atenção desde o início com a sua história muito creativa. Para uma audiência mais jovem, Extra-ordinary You tem uma atmosfera bastante nova e cómica. No entanto, não é o típico drama de secundário.

"Eun Dan Oh é uma aluna do secundário com 17 anos que provém de uma família rica e que sofre de uma doença no coração. Contudo, quando Dan Oh se apercebe que está a experienciar cortes na sua memória  também, ela reconhece outro facto sobre a sua vida: ela é uma personagem num webtoon coreano e todas as suas ações são pré-determinadas pelo artista que a desenhou". ~trad. Now here we enter the more cheesy part of the korean dramas. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this show, but I can't lie: the drama is very cliché, it has all the cheesy aspects you can think about, the rich families, the poor girl and the highschool romance.

"Kim Tan is the heir to Empire Group who has been sent to study abroad in the U.S. While in the States, Kim Tan meets Cha Eun Sang, who arrived from Korea in search of her older sister. He feels himself falling for her, never realizing that she's the daughter of his family's housekeeper. Agora sim entramos na área mais cliché (até diria brega) dos dramas coreanos. Não me levem a mal, eu adoro absolutamente este drama, mas não posso mentir: o show é muito pindérico até um certo ponto, tem as famílias ricas, a rapariga pobre e o romance de secundário.
