Usually, for work I do a different looking makeup design. Ever since I fell in love with colourful eyeliners, maybe one year ago or maybe more, I started this "trend" of doing makeup drawings. I do love me some bold coloured eyeshadows, but eyeliner designs are just my favourite thing as of right now.

With that being said, I decided to show and consequently give you some ideas of eyeliners you can do on your daily basis. Obviously, I also do have face makeup, but I basically do the same every time. I also don't use a lot of lipsticks, therefore what changes the most is the eye makeup and it's colours and patterns.

Usualmente, para o trabalho, faço maquilhagens com desenhos diferentes. Desde que me apaixonei pelos eyeliners de cores, talvez há um ano ou mais, comecei esta "tendência" de fazer desenhos. Continuo a adorar sombras coloridas, mas os delineados são a minha coisa preferida neste momento.

Tendo isto dito, decidi mostrar-vos e consequentemente dar ideias de delineados que podem fazer no vosso dia-a-dia. Obviamente, que também aplico maquilhagem de pele, mas basicamente faço o mesmo todos os dias. E também não uso muito batons, por isso o que muda é a maquilhagem de olhos e as suas cores e padrões.

FIRST DAY

This one looks like it doesn't have much, and in reality is quite simple in terms of design, however, in terms of work and its difficulty, it's not that easy - you have to have a steady hand and I, no doubt, recommend the usage of a brush, no liquid eyeliner or pen. But it's so beautifully clean.

I did not use bold eyeshadows, because I wanted the colourful squares to shine. Therefore, I used on the eyelid a neutral colour and one a bit darker on the crease, all in shades of beige and brown. Then I did a brown wing eyeliner [ 3INA eyeliner pen 575 ] with decorated squares alterating colours [SUVA Beauty UV Taffies Hydra FX Palette].

PRIMEIRO DIA

Este parece que não tem muito, e na realidade é bastante simples em termos de design; contudo, em termos de trabalho e dificuldade, não é nada fácil - é preciso ter uma mão precisa e que não trema. Recomendo que usem um pincel e não eyeliners líquidos ou canetas. Mas é muito esteticamente limpo.

Não usei sombras garridas, porque queria que os quadrados brilhassem. Assim sendo, usei na pálpebra cores neutras e uma um pouco mais escura na crease, tudo tons bege e castanho. Depois fiz um delineado com asa [3INA eyeliner pen 575] com quadrados alternamente com diferentes cores [SUVA Beauty UV Taffies Hydra FX Palette].

SECOND DAY

The second makeup look it's a bit easier in the eyeliner department, but harder in the eyeshadow part. For the eyelids, I tried to do a smokey eye with the colours yellow, orange and pink. I'm not the best with eyeshadows, I have a harder time blending, however this one came out really nice.

For the eyeliner, I kept it simple and only used white [ 3INA eyeliner pen 100 ]. The design it's abstract, the only detail that I wanted was to one of the drawings to look like a shooting star.

SEGUNDO DIA

A segunda maquilhagem é um pouco mais fácil em termos de delineado, mas mais difícil na parte das sombras. Para os olhos, decidi tentar fazer um esfumado com as cores amarelo, laranja e rosa. Não sou a melhor com sombras, tenho dificuldade em que fique tudo uniforme, mas este saiu muito bem.

Para o eyeliner, mantive-o simples e apenas usei branco [3INA eyeliner pen 100]. O design é abstrato, o único detalhe que queria era que uma parte se parecesse com uma estrela cadente.  

THIRD DAY

It's another simple looking makeup look, but the eyeliner is more intricate. Just like the first one, when the eyeliner is already a big star, I keep the eyeshadows pretty neutral and only use beige and brown.

It's also a one colour show, yellow [SUVA Beauty UV Taffies Hydra FX Palette]. For inspiration, I tried to use in a abstract drawing elements of speed and lightning.

TERCEIRO DIA

É outra maquilhagem mais simples, mas o delineado é mais complexo. Tal como o primeiro, quando o eyeliner é a estrela, gosto de manter as sombras neutras e usar apenas beges e castanhos.

É também um espetáculo de uma só cor, amarelo [SUVA Beauty UV Taffies Hydra FX Palette]. Para o desenho abstrato tentei retirar inspiração de elementos de velocidade e raios.

FOURTH DAY

Abstract is always a bit easier and you can do so much more, believe it or not. It's just circles and lines and splashes and it just stands out and impress people. However, a good specific drawing of something also is very beautiful and as you may think harder.

In only shades of blue [KRASH to die for glitter eyeliner SMS], I did a normal wing eyeliner and then in the outer corner a moon with little dots to simbolize the stars and one or two sparkles. To make the eye makeup a little more fairy like, I added shiny blue eyeshadow in the inner corner.

QUARTO DIA

Abstrato é sempre mais fácil e podem fazer muito mais, acreditem ou não. É apenas círculos e linhas e salpicos e simplesmente destaca-se e impressiona as pessoas. Porém, um desenho bem definido de algo é também muito bonito e como podem imaginar mais difícil.

Em apenas tons de azul [KRASH to die for glitter eyeliner SMS], fiz um eyeliner normal e depois no canto externo decorei com uma lua e pequenos pontos para simbolizar estrelas e um ou dois brilhos. Para tornar a maquilhagem mais de fada, adicionei um sombra azul com brilho no canto interno.

FIFTH DAY

Finally, for the work friendly eyeliner designs, I did, again, a simple but straight foward makeup look. It's a bit similar to the previous one, and at the same time a mix of others that I showed you, but more tamed. And more cute. As you can see, with the same palette and colours you can really do a lot of different things.

I combined two tones: yellow and blue [SUVA Beauty UV Taffies Hydra FX Palette] and did the same blue inner corner dot, like the previous makeup I showed you. In the crease I did a yellow line contouring the eye bone and one both side of the line some defined stars.

QUINTO DIA

Finalmente, na saga de delineados bons para o trabalho, eu fiz, outra vez, um look simples mas direto. É um pouco semelhante ao anterior, e ao mesmo tempo mistura outros que mostrei, mas é mais controlado. E mais fofo. Como podem ver, com a mesma paleta e cores podem fazer vários desenhos.

Combinei dois tons: amarelo e azul [SUVA Beauty UV Taffies Hydra FX Palette] e fiz o mesmo ponto azul no canto. Na crease fiz uma linha amarela a contornar o olho e em ambos os lados da linha desenhei estrelas bem definidas.

I'll be honest, I am running out of ideas for my fashion series. Last year, unfornately, I wasn't able to post every single month the "how to style" posts, and since I've been feeling very stressed and with a lot of work to do -  a lot of stuff that requires my attention - I decided to do a broader topic for the 2024 year. Which is simply the outfit that characterized that month. It can be the one I liked the most, or because it matched a certain date on that month.

I know I'm already  late for the january look, right from the beginning, but I'm not giving up already, and I still plan to post the february one.

Vou ser honesta, eu estou a ficar sem ideias para as minhas rubricas mensais de moda. No ano passado, infelizmente, não consegui postar todos os meses os "como estilizar", e uma vez que me tenho sentido estressada e com muita coisa no meu prato - vários trabalhos que requerem a minha atenção - decidi enveredar por um tópico mais abrangente para 2024. Que será simplesmente o visual que caracterizou o mês. Pode ser um que tenha gostado muito ou um que combinou devido a uma certa data daquele mês.

Eu sei que já vou atrasada para o look de janeiro, mas não vou desistir já e planeio postar ainda este mês o de fevereiro.

I had to recreate this look again for me to take photos, because sadly when I did used it and did not take any photos of me with it. But it was for a lunch and walk through Ericeira. On a sunny day after work.

Even though it was the first month and still winter, it was pretty hot already. And since it was a late lunch at a more elegant restaurant, I went for something comfortable, because I just came from work and I didn't want to feel stiff on the walk, but with a jazz since the restaurant had an elegant decoration.

So, with that premise, I choose my leather pants because they can be rocky but also elegant and, plus, they are comfortable since inside it's suede. For the top I went for a very baby top, it gives a pretty and angelic vibe, with my beloved colourful shirt. The lattest always adds a bit of myself to every outfit I wear. For shoes, obviously, I went with sneakers.

Tive de recriar este look novamente para tirar fotos, porque a primeira vez que o usei não tirei fotos. Mas foi para um almoço e passeio pela Ericeira. Num dia de sol depois do trabalho. 

Mesmo sendo o primeiro mês do ano e ainda inverno, já estava bastante calor. E uma vez que foi um almoço tardio num restaurante mais elegante, fui por algo mais confortável, sendo que vinha do trabalho e depois queria ir passear livremente, mas com um jazz visto que o restaurante tinha uma decoração mais fina.

Por isso, tendo esta premissa, escolhi as minhas calças de cabedal, que mesmo com ar de rock também conseguem ser elegantes no ponto e, para mais, são confortáveis por são camurça por dentro. Para o top fui com um branco, bonitinho, que dá um ar angelical. Por cima a minha adorada camisa colorida. A última adicionei sempre um toque mais eu a qualquer outfit que visto. Para os sapatos, obviamente ténis.

 Honestly speaking I never really put too much thought into the clothes I wear to the airport. First because my flights are usually quick, and secondly I don't really care how I look, I just want to be comfortable. However, on this last trip, my flight to Australia, I did think about what I was going to wear to my almost 24 hour flight. I still wanted to be comfortable, but is not just whatever that is going to be good. And I also wanted to feel fashionable.

So, with that said, I decided to give you some ideas through what wore to Australia and coming back. That means two outfits, similar but also a bit different.

Falando honestamente, eu nunca penso muito nas roupas que vou levar para o aeroporto. Primeiro porque os voos são relativamente rápidos, e segundo eu não quero muito saber de como é que estou, só quero estar confortável. Todavia, nesta última viagem, o meu voo para a Austrália, eu tinha de pensar o que iria usar num voo de quase 24 horas. Eu queria na mesma estar confortável, mas não é qualquer coisa que funciona para tantas horas. E na verdade também queria estar estilosa.

Por isso, com isto dito, decidi dar-vos algumas ideias através do que eu vesti para a ir para a Austrália e na volta. Quer dizer, portanto, dois outfits, similares, mas diferentes.

Lisbon, Portugal to Sydney, Australia

If you have been seeing my social media recently, you know that a big part of my outfits is colour. I do love me some black pieces, but I also love vibrant and colourful clothing. And it was on that side that leaned over. That decision because the colour, in this case, lilac, is going to give the stylish factor to the pieces that I chose. 

I went for some basic and a bit loose sweatpants, just some sneakers and a fitted crop top, that way almost feel like skin and nothing is bothering you, like some bell sleeves or added beads. A tip is to use the layers strategy on flights, because it can get hot and cold.

Se têm seguido as minhas redes sociais, sabem que grande parte dos meus visuais é a cor. Eu gosto de introduzir peças pretas, mas também adoro roupa vibrante e colorida. E foi mais para esse lado que eu me inclinei. Esta decisão porque a cor, neste caso o lilás, irão dar o fator estilo à roupa que optei vestir.

Fui para umas calças de fato de treino básicas e um pouco largas, uns ténis e um top curto justo ao corpo, porque assim quase que parece pele e nada me está a incomodar, como umas mangas largas ou missangas. Um conselho, no avião é sempre melhor optar pela estratégia das camadas, porque tanto pode estar frio como calor. 

Sydney, Australia to Lisbon, Portugal

This outfit is a bit different because of one single reason: my flight was at night, dinner time, so I had a long day before I had to catch the plane. My tip one these cases is keeping some clothes on your backpack, so you can change when you arrive to the airport. 

In my case, I only changed the pants. I had my cow print ones and changed to the an athletic pair. And surprisingly the buttons on the side did not bother me. These pants were very nice because since their are baggy, they don't restrict my legs when they start to swollen.

Again, for the top I went for a skin like body and a knitwear one top of it. Nevertheless, I always carried on flights a bigger sweatshirt in case I get really cold. For shoes, I used my buffalo because their are a bit big on me, and just like the pants, they won't bother when my feet start to swell.

Este outfit é ligeiramente diferente por uma única razão: o meu voo era apenas à noite, hora do jantar, por isso ainda tive um longo dia antes de ter de apanhar o avião. A minha dica nestes casos é levar sempre uma muda de roupa na mochila para depois trocar no aeroporto.

No meu caso, foi só preciso as calças. Levavas as calças de padrão de vaca e mudei para umas com um estilo mais atlético. E surpreendentemente os botões não me incomodaram. Estas calças foram mesmo boas porque não restringiram as minhas pernas quando elas começaram a inchar, uma vez que eram largas.

Outra vez, para a blusa escolhi um body quase como pele e por cima uma malha. Mesmo assim, carrego sempre comigo uma sweatshirt mais grossa no caso de começar a ter frio. Para os sapatos, escolhi os meus ténis Buffalo porque eles ficam-me um pouco grandes, e assim, tal como as calças, não me vão incomodar quando os pés começarem a inchar.

 This idea occured me, because I wanted to share with you some books and tv shows, but I felt like I did not have enough to do separate posts and paired it it seem a bit forced. Therefore, I decided to be more inclusive and actually give 5 cultural (can I describe it that way?) recommendations, summer themed. Meaning, they feel better on summer.

Esta ideia ocorreu-me, porque eu queria partilhar convosco livros e series, mas senti que não tinha suficientes para fazer postagens separadas e juntá-los era forçar um bocado. Sendo assim, decidi ser mais inclusiva e dar-vos 5 ideias culturais (se é que podemos chamar assim), com o tema de verão. Querendo dizer, que são melhores no verão.

First recommendation is a book. Something that is an amazing story to read on summer. Which was actually my summer read last year. And that is People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry. 

This book is about two friends, Poppy and Alex, that would anually go to vacation together and start to fall in love. However, things don't work out so they split and years later they find each other again. 

Believe me is so much better than I'm explainning. The writting, the way she chooses to tell the story is so creative (you can find my review on Goodreads).

A primeira recomendação é um livro. Uma história fantástica para ler no verão. Que foi, por acaso, a minha leitura de verão o ano passado. Que é o livro People We Meet on Vacation da Emily Henry.

Esta história é sobre dois amigos, Poppy e Alex, que iam de férias anualmente e que começam a apaixonar-se um pelo outro. Contudo, as coisas não correm bem e acabam por ir um para cada lado. Anos mais tarde, voltam a encontrar-se.

Acreditem, é muito melhor do que estou aqui a explicar. A escrita, a maneira como ela escolhe fazer a narrativa é muito criativa (podem encontrar a minha resenha no Goodreads).

Second recommendation is a tv show. And it's perfect that I'm sharing it with you now because the second season just released and I'm so excited to start watching it. I'm talking about The Summer I Turned Pretty. Which comes from a book from Jenny Han. 

The serie, and I assume the book too, is about a girl that goes on summer holidays to house with her mom's best friend and her sons and one summer a love triangle starts to form. It's basic, I know, but is very light weight and easy to watch. I have fun. Is available on Amazon Prime.

Segunda recomendação é uma série. E é a altura perfeita para partilhar convosco, visto que a segunda temporada acabou de estrear e eu estou muito entusiasmada para começar a ver. Estou a falar de The Summer I Turned Pretty. Que provém de um livro da Jenny Han.

A série, e assumo que o livro também, fala sobre uma rapariga que todos os verões costuma ir para a casa da melhor amiga da mãe e dos filhos. E durante um verão um triângulo amoroso começa a formar-se. É básico, eu sei, mas é tão simples e fácil de ver. Eu divirto-me. Está disponível na Amazon Prime.

Third one is a song. Not much to say to introduce them, but one that I recommend you so much to listen is I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance) by Glass Animals. They are a bit unknown, apart from that one song, but this one is such as good. The whole album of this song is. 

Deep down, I also want you to listen to I Ain't Worried by OneRepublic. These two songs are my feel good jams. They are so relaxed and fun to dance to. You just feel happy when you hear them.

Terceira é uma música. Não há muito a dizer para introduzi-la, apenas que a que eu recomendo bastante que ouçam é a I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance) dos Glass Animals. Eles são um pouco desconhecidos, aparte daquela uma música, mas esta também é muito boa. O álbum todo desta música o é.

Lá no fundo, também quero que ouçam a I Ain't Worried dos OneRepublic. Essas duas músicas são as minhas canções de "sentir bem". São tão leves e divertidas para dançar. Vocês sentem-se felizes a ouvi-las.

My fourth recommendation is a food. I can't pin point a restaurant or a food in specific, because I want to be more inclusive so I just say that I this summer you should try vegan ice cream. Please eat it, you want regret it. There are so much good ones everywhere now.

A minha quarta ideia é comida. Não vou dizer um restaurante ou comida em específico, porque quero ser mais inclusiva. Por isso, este verão desafio-vos a experimentar gelado vegan. Por favor, comam, não se vão arrepender. Existem já tantos e tão bons.

Recommendation five and last is something for you to do. I love doing it with a group a friends. And even knowing that is very basic, is always so much fun. A picnic. You can also do it with just one friend. Maybe turn it into a book club picnic.

To make it easy, each of the friends take a food for themselves and also a snack for everyone. Just split some stuff from everyone and that's it. Don't forget a blanket and napkins. And obvious games, specially cards.

Recomendação cinco e última é algo para vocês fazerem. Adoro fazer isto em grupo. E mesmo sabendo que é básico, é algo que me dá prazer. Um piquenique. Também podem fazer só com um amigo. Talvez converter num piquenique de leitura.

Para ser mais fácil, cada um leva uma comida para o próprio e levo também um snack para todos. Depois dividam entre vocês o que cada um leva e pronto. Não se esqueçam da toalha e dos guardanapos. E dos jogos, óbvio, especialmente cartas.
