Things I'm Grateful for...

A lot has happened during this half of year and myself included. A grew up so much and my perspectives and beliefs are a lot more simpler, in a good way - a started to appreciate life in a new level. Nowadays, I pay a lot more attention to simple and minor things, as well as small details. And that's what I wanted to talk about and show you.

Muita coisa tem acontecido durante esta metade do ano, eu incluída. Cresci imenso e a minhas perspetivas e crenças tornaram-se mais simples, no bom sentido - comecei a apreciar a vida num outro nível. Hoje em dia, eu tomo mais atenção a coisas mais pequenas e simples, como também a pequenos detalhes. E é disso que quero vos falar e mostrar.

THE MORNING SUN / O SOL DA MANHÃ

Seeing the sun right after I wake up puts me instantly in a good mood. It doesn't have to be warm outside, it can actually be freezing cold, but if it's sunny I'm already in a good mood. And feeling the sun and some fresh air against my skin is even better.

Ver o sola assim que me levanto põe instantaneamente num bom humor. Não tem de estar quente lá fora, pode estar mesmo muito frio, mas se tiver sol eu fico logo de bom humor. E sentir o sol e um pouco de ar puro contra a minha pele ainda melhor.

A CUP OF COFFEE IN THE SILENCE OF DAWN / CAFÉ NO SILÊNCIO DA MADRUGADA

I wasn't a coffee person, but since university that I feel that a cup of coffee in the morning is an essential. I don't necessarily need to drink everyday, but the taste and the smell of coffee right when I wake up gives me a sense of relaxation that I appreciate so much. Plus, makes me remember the mornings in a hotel, when you go to have breakfast.

Eu não era uma pessoa de café, mas assim que entrei na universidade essa chávena de café de manhã tornou-se num essencial. Eu preciso de beber todos os dias, mas o sabor e o cheiro de café assim que acordo dá-me uma sensação de relaxamento que eu valorizo muito. Para mais, faz me lembre as manhãs num hotel, quando vamos tomar o pequeno-almoço.

A GOOD BOOK IN THE AFTERNOON / UM BOM LIVRO À TARDE

I love reading and I also love having time for myself - a me time. So one of the things I like to do, and now I give a lot more value to is when I'm by myself, peacefully in my corner in the afternoon, reading a good book, a book that I'm actually really enjoying reading and I can't stop.

Eu adoro ler e adoro também ter um tempo para mim - "me time". Então uma das coisas que gosto bastante de fazer, e que agora valorizo muito, é estar sozinha, pacificamente no meu canto à tarde, a ler um bom livro, aquele livro que estou mesmo a gostar da história e que não consigo parar.

WORKOUT SESSION AT 6P.M. / EXERCÍCIO FÍSICO ÀS 18H

Even before anything I knew that exercise makes a lot of different on the person that I am, but now, when I had my lowest lows that I could see that working out really helped me with my anxiety and worries. It just a time for me to let go of all my worries and energies.

Mesmo antes disto tudo eu sabia que o exercício faz uma grande diferença na pessoa que sou, mas agora, quando tive os meus baixos mais baixos, é que vi que fazer exercício ajuda-me bastante com a minha ansiedade e preocupações. É o meu tempo para descarregar todas as energias e o stress.

COOK BREAKFAST & EAT IT / FAZER O PEQUENO-ALMOÇO & COMÊ-LO

It may be only me, but I get such a satisfaction for cooking breakfast - the fact that I made that and it looks beautiful and tastes delicious really ups my mood. Not forgetting that eating breakfast is one of my favourite parts of my day. So calm and delicious.

Posso ser apenas eu, mas eu tiro grande satisfação do tempo em que estou a fazer o pequeno-almoço - o facto de eu o fazer e estar assim bonito e delicioso põe-me feliz. Não esquecendo que comê-lo é uma das minhas partes do dia favoritas. Tão calmo e delicioso.

CAR RIDE WITH GOOD MUSIC / VIAGEM DE CARRO COM BOA MÚSICA

Everytime I go on a car ride I just want it to last as much as I can, specially if I have good music playing. When I say car ride, I mean, it's not me driving. I'm just there, in the back seat, looking out of the window, thinking of life and singing the songs that I like and that make me so happy.

Sempre que faço uma viagem de carro eu quero que esta dure o mais tempo possível, especialmente se tenho boa música a tocar. Quando digo viagem de carro, quero dizer que não sou eu a conduzir, eu apenas estou lá, no banco de trás, a olhar pela janela, a pensar na vida e a cantar as músicas que gosto e que me fazem feliz.

It's weird how I wear yellow all the time, but it came the time for me to decide on a complete yellow outfit I had a hard time - and maybe my choice was a bit boring. Honestly, the look you are about to see, I actually really like it and, even though is simple, is very flowy and perfect for the warm weather. As I say in every outfit post, this is just an idea you can adapt the concept to your own style.

É tão estranho como eu visto muitas vezes amarelo, mas quando chegou a altura de escolher um outfit completamente amarelo eu tive dificuldades - e talvez a minha escolha foi um pouco aborrecida. Honestamente, eu gosto bastante e, embora simples, é bastante leve e perfeito para o tempo quente. Como digo em todos os posts de roupa, isto é só uma ideia que vocês podem adaptar para o vosso próprio estilo.

Everytime I look at this dress the only style I can think of is a very girly one, however that it's not at all the type of way I like to dress. So, I experiment a lot of different stuff to make this dress, which is the main piece of the outfit, more edgy.

For that, I put a lot of effort on the jewelry, socks, shoes, but also on my hairstyle and makeup (the look is a package of all those things, even if what I want to show you mainly is the clothes). To make a more grunge style, the easier routes are, one, you use baggy pieces, or, two, you use black in little details. Obviously, I went with the black details, such as in my socks and necklace.

Sempre que eu olho para este vestido, o único estilo em que penso é num mais feminino, no entanto, não é bem a forma como eu gosto de me vestir. Então, eu experimentei várias coisas para tornar este vestido, que é a estrela do visual, mais arrojado.

Para isso, eu dei bastante atenção aos acessórios, meias, sapatos, mas também ao penteado e maquilhagem (o visual é este pacote todo, embora o que eu queira mostrar primeiramente sejam as roupas). Para fazer um outfit mais grungy, a maneira mais fácil é, um, usar peças largas, ou, dois, usar pequenos detalhes em preto. Obviamente, eu optei pelos detalhes em preto, tanto nas meias como no colar.

Local Stores

Doughnuts in (my) town

Everytime I see an ad of a local store/cafe on my instagram feed I have to instantly go to the profile and investigate. And because of that, I discovered so many delicious food places. And it's some of them that I'm going to tell you about. I decided to group up these three places together because, for the three, their speciality is doughnuts - they have some other things, but they are known for the doughnuts. Before I continue, all these places are situated in Portugal, Lisbon (some have pop-up stores).

I do have my favourite amongs them and I also have some pros and cons for each of them.

Sempre que eu vejo um anuncio de uma loja/café no meu instagram, eu tenho de ir instantaneamente ao perfil e investigar. E por causa disso, descobrir muitos sítios para comer novos. E é alguns deles que eu vos vou falar. Eu decidi agrupar este três porque a especialidade dos três é donuts - eles têm outras coisas, mas são conhecidos pelos donuts. Antes de continuar, todos os espaços situam-se em Portugal, Lisboa (alguns têm pop-up stores).

Eu também tenho os meus favoritos e tenho alguns pros e cons de cada um.

1 - Scoop'n Dough

First, we have Scoop'n Dough, and it's most definitely my favourite. They're vegan and the sweetness it's not super overpowering. Basically, they don't use anything animal related, not even for the dough and they also have gluten-free options, which is incredible. And they come up with so many different and original flavours.

Primeiro, temos o Scoop'n Dough, e é quase definitivamente o meu preferido. Eles são vegan e o doce não é excessivo. Basicamente, eles não usam nada derivado de animal, nem na massa, e ainda têm opções sem glúten, o que é incrível. E eles anunciam vários sabores diferentes e originais.

2 - Crush Doughnuts

Crush Doughnuts were the first place that I tried from, and even though at the time I loved it so much, right now it's a bit to sweet for my palate, and it's not vegan. The plus'es are that the doughnuts itself are huge, usually I can only eat half of it, and there are numerous flavours.

Crush Doughnuts foram o primeiro sítio de onde eu provei, e ainda que no início tenha adorado, neste momento é um pouco demasiado doce para o meu palato, e não são vegan. Os "mais" é que o donut em si é gigante, usualmente só consigo comer metade de um, e eles tem numerosos sabores.

3 - The Coffee Library

Finally, The Coffee Library, where I just recently tasted from because only now they opened a pop-up store near where I live. They are the most simple out of these - they are your typical american doughnuts, they have some curious flavours but I almost tasted the same in all... The good thing are that they are not super sweet, you can easily eat two, maybe, and they are fluffy and normal, overall.

Finalmente, The Coffee Library, de onde eu provei recentemente, porque foi agora que abriram uma pop-up store perto de mim. Eles são os mais simples dos três - eles são os vossos típicos donuts americanos, eles têm alguns sabores curiosos mas para mim sabiam muito parecidos... O bom é que não são super doces, facilmente comem dois, talvez, e são fofos e normais, no geral.
