This post comes a bit late, I know, but bear with me because I have a lot things to do right now: with one trip coming soon, my freelancer work, studies, christmas right around the corner and also the end of the year.

But we're here to talk about Halloween, this iconic date that each year I see more people celebrating. And I'm not an exception. In fact the whole week I've been doing my makeup keeping the horror/scary theme in mind. And it's one of those ideas that I decided to show you.

I do work at a store, where I have a lot of contact with the public, where I need to keep everything hygienic and I also have an uniform, so not everything looks good.

Este post já vem um pouco atrasado, eu sei, mas tenham paciência. Nestas semanas, tenho tido muita coisa para fazer: uma viagem prestes a acontecer, o trabalho freelancer, estudos, o Natal já a caminho e também o final do ano.

Mas estamos aqui para falar sobre o Halloween, esta data icónica que todos os anos eu vejo mais gente a celebrar. E eu não sou exceção. Sinceramente, durante toda esta semana fiz a minha maquilhagem com o tema de terror. E é uma dessas ideias que vos quero mostrar.

Eu trabalha numa loja, onde tenho bastante contacto com o público e onde tenho de manter tudo higiénico e claro uso uniforme, por isso nem tudo fica bem.

I believe this is not a known thing about me in the social media, but if you have kept a closed eye and attetion to detail to my fashion and makeup posts, you would see that I love my colourful eyeliner and different eye makeup designs. As you can imagine, I did lean a lot on that.

For a work-friendly scary makeup idea, I decided to leave almost everything to the eyes. I mean, the eyes are the windows to the soul. And I went for only 3 colours: black, white and red. I did not use lipstick, because of hygienic purposes, but if you can I definitely support you on using a bright red or something in tones of wine.

I did my normal skin makeup - some concealer and powder - with an extra dash of blush than I normally do. For the eyes, I did a longer and sharper black eyeliner than my usual, I used the one from Mercadona, and on the wing I tried to do a small little ghost contorning it. The white eyeliner is from 3ina, and since it is a pen it's easier to do the curvelines. 

On the bottom lashes I used a red eyeshadow from the Naked Heat Palette for a more sinister look and to finalize and give it a glow, a dot of gold eyeshadow in the inner corner.

Eu acredito que isto não é uma coisa sabida pelas redes sociais, mas se tiveram olho para os detalhes nas minhas postagens de moda e maquilhagem, aperceberam-se que eu adoro delineador colorido e desenhos como maquilhagem de olhos. Como podem imaginar, encostei-me muito a isso.

Para um look amigável para o trabalho, decidi focar-me essencialmente nos olhos. Dizem que os olhos são as janelas da nossa alma. E apenas fui para 3 cores: preto, branco e vermelho. Não pus batom por causa dos propósitos de higiene, mas se puderem usar eu apoio-vos a usarem um vermelho ou tons de vinho.

Fiz a minha maquilhagem de pele normal - corretor e pó compacto - com uma pitada extra de blush a mais do que já faço normalmente. Para os olhos, fiz um delineado preto mais longo e afiado do que o meu habitual, e usei um do Mercadona. Na asa tentei fazer um pequeno fantasma a contornar. O eyeliner branco é da 3ina, e sendo que é em formato caneta, é muito mais fácil para fazer as linhas curvas.

Perto das pestanas inferiores, utilizei sombra vermelha da Paleta Naked Heat, para um look mais sinistro. E para finalizar e dar um pouco de luminosidade, uma pinta de dourado no canto do olho.

 In one of my previous posts, where I talked about my hair routine, I mentioned that I've been trying one product to fight off my problem with dandruff. My biggest issue, in case you haven't read the other post, was that usually the hair treatments (shampoos, conditioners, etc) that attack dandruff are filled with chemicals that are not great for your hair, specially curly hair since it destroys the hair's shape.

 With a lot of research, I decided to try this one treatment that checks all my boxes: it's cruelty-free, silicon free and sulphate free. And above all it's suposed to get rid of the itchiness. I'm talking about the INKEY List Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Scalp Treatment. I know, INKEY List is not very known by hair products, but stick with me.

 Numa das minhas postagens anteriores, onde eu falo sobre a minha rotina de cabelo, eu mencionei que andava a experimentar um produto de cabelo para combater a caspa. O meu maior problema, no caso de ainda não terem lido o post, é que usualmente o tratamento de cabelos (champôs, condicionadores, etc) que atacam a caspa estão cheios de químicos que não são bons para o cabelo, especialmente caracóis, visto que destrói o ondulamento.

 Com muita pesquisa, decidi tentar este tratamento que confere todos os meus pontos: sem crueldade, silicones e sem sulfatos. E acima de tudo supostamente trata a comichão. Estou a falar do Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Scalp Treatment da INKEY List. Eu sei, a marca não é muito conhecida por produtos de cabelo, mas confiem em mim.

 According to their website it "gently exfoliates and sloughs off dead skin cells on the scalp to help reduce flakes and excess oil", due to the 2% salycilic acid; "helps to reduce the scalp's redness", with the help of the 2.5% FLUIDIPURE™ 8G; and "helps to hydrate and moisturize hair" because of the 1% panthenol.

 Also it claims that after 1 use flakes look instantly reduced. And I'm going to say it, I agree with it.

 It might sound crazy to you, but it did work in my first use. And on the second usage it was almost completely gone, to the point that I barely had any itchiness or redness on the scalp. Flakes were totally gone. Plus, I never lost my curl pattern. In fact, my hair stayed pretty hidrated.

 It is a bit messy to use, since you have to apply on the roots and the product it's very liquidy, but it is worth it. You do use a lot. I might have used 5/6 times and it is 3/4 down. The nice part is that is not that expensive. I bit more than the normal dandruff shampoos, but for me this treatment is so much better. Not only works better, but it also doesn't ruin my hair. Which the other shampoos do.

 This pre-shampoo treatment, paired with a nice and also sulphate and silicon free shampoo and equal conditioner, is the perfect combination. Maybe too good.

 Definitely recommend!! It works, doesn't dry or makes my scalp red, doesn't sting. It's only good things, plus you only use it two times a week.

 De acordo com o site, "exfolia suavemente e remove as células mortas da pele do couro cabeludo, tal como ajuda a reduzir o excesso de oleosidade”, devido ao ácido salicílico 2%; “ajuda a reduzir a vermelhidão do couro cabeludo”, com a ajuda do 2,5% FLUIDIPURE™ 8G; e “ajuda a hidratar os cabelos” por causa do panthenol 1%.

 Também afirma que reduz instantaneamente a caspa na primeira utilização. E vou dizê-lo, é verdade.

 Pode soar estranho para vocês, mas resultou mesmo desde o primeiro uso. E na segunda utilização tinha praticamente desaparecido, ao ponto de que não tinha quase comichão nenhuma nem vermelhidão no couro cabeludo. A caspa tinha muito pouca. E mais, nunca perdi os caracóis. Na verdade, o meu cabelo continuou bastante hidratado. 

 Suja um bocado, uma vez que temos de aplicar na raiz e o produto é bastante líquido, mas compensa. Usamos muito. Eu talvez tenha usado 5 ou 6 vezes e já só tenho 3/4. A parte boa é que não é muito caro. É mais do que a maioria dos champôs de caspa, mas para mim este tratamento é muito melhor. Não só funciona melhor, como não danifica o cabelo. O que os outros produtos fazem.

 Este é um tratamento é usado antes de tudo, combinado com um bom champô, também sem silicones e sulfatos, tal como um condicionador igual, é junção perfeita. Demasiado boa.

 Recomendo definitivamente!! Funciona, não deixa o couro cabelo seco ou vermelho, não arde. Só coisas boas, para mais só se usa duas vezes por semana, máximo.

I have this bag for so long now, it was a gift from my sister, and I truly like it, it's just that it does not go with a lot of the things in my closet, since it is a lot of colour and other patterns. Because of that I decided to take that as a challenge and style it.

Eu não sei se este post é mais para vocês ou para mim. Tipo, é mesmo um desafio para mim usar esta mala. Tirem desta postagem inspiração para como estilizar malas com padrões, porque sinto que é existe um consenso de que padrão de animal é um pouco difícil de conjugar sem parecer brega.

Já tenho esta mala a algum tempo, foi uma prenda da minha irmã, e eu gosto mesmo, só que não combina com muitas coisas que tenho no armário, visto que tenho muitas cores e padrões. Devido a isso, decidi tornar isto num desafio e criar um visual.

Obviously, with a bag like that I already knew that it would be the star piece, the center of attention. The question was: how am I going to do a no-basic outfit for this item? At first it looks like an outfit taken from a capsule wardrobe, but the key here was to utilize styles, shapes and textures to my advantage. And also to have another piece in competition for center of attention. I also took the smallest hint of blue from the bag and added it to the look.

Therefore, I decided that for a vibrant blue baggy shirt and underneath it, since it's getting cold, a more cotton feel black crewneck. For the bottoms my beloved slouchy jeans, paired with some sneakers. I decided for a more edgy approach, because I wanted to give this handbags a different look. Usually we tend to go for a more elegant, but I wanted to give a contrast, calling for attention this way.

Obviamente, como esta mala eu já sabia que ela seria a estrela, o centro das atenções. A pergunta é: como é que vou criar um visual não básico com este item? Primeiramente, parece um outfit tirado de uma guarda-roupa capsula, mas a chave é utilizar estilos, formatos e texturas para nossa vantagem. E claro ter outro item que compete para centro de atenções. Eu também retirei da pequena amostra de azul da mala inspiração e adicionei ao look.

Assim sendo, eu decidi-me por uma camisa larga azul e por baixo uma blusa preta de toque de algodão com gola redonda. Para a parte de baixo, as minhas queridas calças "slouchy", combinadas com uns ténis. Optei por uma abordagem mais 90's retro, porque queria dar um novo significado a estes tipos de malas. Usualmente são para roupas mais elegantes, mas assim cria um maior contraste, chamando atenção.

A little more than a week ago, since the weather was honestly quite perfect and me, my sister and my dad were matching days off, we decided to go for a little adventure to the north, to be with nature.

I've been saying at home that I really wanted to go explore the Gerês. Everyone talks about how beautiful it is and how nature just soaks you in, so I wanted to experience that. I just didn't know that the park was that big. But I can confirm that it is indeed so relaxing and a fun outgoing.

Unfornately we only had two days, and you need a lot more to explore the vast area, however I still feel like it was a successful trip. We left Lisbon at 7a.m., arrived at Peneda-Gerês National Park around 11:30am. And our first stop was one of the most strangest houses, a Casa do Penedo.

We left Gerês on the next day around 7p.m.. Stop at Braga to eat some delicious veggie francesinha, and arrived at home at around midnight.

Um pouco mais do que uma semana atrás, uma vez que o tempo estava bom e tanto eu como a minha irmã e o meu pai tínhamos folgas juntos, decidimos ir aventurar-nos para o norte, para estar com a natureza.

Eu tenho andado a dizer em casa que queria muito explorar o Gerês. Toda a gente diz que é muito bonito e a natureza absorvo-nos, por isso eu queria experienciar isso. Apenas não sabia que o parque era assim tão grande. Mas posso confirmar que é realmente muito relaxante e uma boa saída.

Infelizmente apenas estivemos lá dois dias e é preciso mais dias para conhecer a grande área, contudo sinto que foi uma viagem bem-sucedida. Saímos de Lisboa às 7h e chegámos ao Parque Nacional Peneda-Gerês por volta das 11h30. E a nossa primeira paragem foi uma das casas mais estranhas, a Casa do Penedo.

Deixámos o Gerês no dia seguinte por volta das 19h. Parámos em Braga para jantar uma deliciosa francesinha vegetariana e chegámos a casa à meia-noite, aproximadamente. 

I don't go very often to nature to just walk and absorb the earth sensations. However, when I do it, I really enjoy it. Last week, I went to the Gerês National Park and I definitely got in touch with nature. Be aware that I just go for a walk, I don't really have nice equipment for hiking, therefore the change on the tittle. 

I was there for two days, consequently I only have two outfits. Plus, they are quite similar, so I actually think it's a good way to take a general idea of what to wear for a walk through nature.

Eu não costumo muito ir para a natureza para passeios e absorver as sensações da terra. Porém, quando vou, eu gosto bastante. A semana passada fui ao Parque do Gerês e definitivamente entrei em contacto com a natureza. Tenho em atenção que eu fui passear, eu não tenho propriamente equipamento para caminhadas, daí a mudança de titulo.

Estive lá durante dois dias, e consequentemente só tenho dois visuais. Para mais, são semelhantes, mas com isso conseguem tirar uma ideia geral do que vestir para um passeio na natureza.

For my first day, I tried to go for more a sportive and relax vibe. I chose a larger t-shirt, underneath a sports bra and biker shorts. The colour choice came with the shorts, it wasn't really a decision. However, I feel like it's a nice one, rust orange / brick, because it goes with the earthy tones. For the shoes, I used my memory foam sneakers, that even though they don't have a great grip (I found out that there), they are very comfortable.

Para o meu primeiro dia, tentei ir mais desportiva e relaxada. Optei por uma t-shirt larga, por baixo um soutien desportivo e uns calções de ciclismo. A escolha da cor proveio dos calções, não foi totalmente a minha decisão. Contudo, eu acho que combina, um laranja rústico / tijolo, porque é um tom terracota. Para os sapatos, usei os meus ténis com sola de memory foam, que mesmo não tenham uma boa aderência (descobri isso lá), são muito confortáveis.

On the second day, it was very hot so I decided to go for a more breezy look. Underneath the outfit, I wore a bikini, because we were going to the waterfall. On top, I chose a white crop top so it didn't catch the sunlight and for the bottoms some black active shorts. Because they are more on the cotton texture, they are very comfortable. I used the same sneakers as the previous day. 

Since I didn't know if it was going to get more chilly, I brought a oversized flannel shirt with me. And I also chose to bring a backpack, because it was more convinient for the hikes.

No segundo dia, estava muito calor por isso escolhi algo mais refrescante. Por baixo da roupa, utilizei um biquíni porque íamos às cascatas. Por cima, fui por um top branco para não absorver os raios solares e na parte de baixo uns calções desportivos. Como são de uma textura como o algodão, são bem aconchegantes. Usei os mesmo ténis que o dia anterior.

Uma vez que não sabia se ia ficar mais fresco, levei comigo uma camisa de flanela larga. E também fui com uma mochila, porque é mais conveniente para caminhadas.

As you may know by now, I don't necessarily have my rest days on the weekend. It may happen, but most of the times are on week days. Therefore, saturdays are not always just fun and games for me. Luckly, I don't work a lot of hours, but I like to feel like I'm being productive all day.

My mornings are not exactly the same all days that I do the afternoon shift, that's why I'm mentioning saturday. It's how my moring went today.

Por esta altura já devem saber que eu não tenho necessariamente folgas no fim-de-semana. Pode acontecer, mas muitas vezes é em dias de semana. Sendo assim, sábados não são sempre brincadeira para mim. Felizmente, não trabalho muitas horas, mas mesmo assim gosto de me sentir produtiva durante todo o dia.

As minhas manhãs não são exatamente iguais sempre que faço o turno da tarde, dai mencionar o sábado. Foi como se sucedeu a minha manhã hoje.

Even though I'm only going to work at 4pm, I try to wake up early. Today, I had a group run, so I wake up at 7am to get ready and be at the spot a little before 8:30, that it's when we start running. We ended at around 10am, we only did 11km, but it always extends a little bit because we also want to be with each other and talk.

7 da manhã.

Mesmo tendo que trabalhar apenas às 16h, eu tento acordar cedo. Hoje, tive um treino de grupo, por isso levantei-me por voltas das 7 da manhã para me despachar e estar no ponto de encontro antes das 8:30, que era a hora que começávamos a correr. Acabámos por volta das 10h, só fizemos 11km, mas estendeu-se por mais um pouco porque estivemos a conviver.

It was a beautiful hot day outside, but it was time to get home. When I got home, I went straight to the shower. It was only after washing my body and hair that I did my morning skincare routine. I put on some comfortable clothes, just to wear around the house, and went to the kitchen to do something to eat.

11:30a.m.

Since I already arrived a bit late, I didn't do a big breakfast, just something to get me through until lunch time. I decided for a croissant and obviously my cup of coffee. It's not very healthy, but it is delicious. I also took this opportunity to, while eating, catch up on social media.

Estava um dia muito quente e bonito, mas já era horas de ir para casa. Quando cheguei, fui logo tomar banho. Só depois de lavar o corpo e o cabelo é que fiz a minha rotina de pele. Coloquei umas roupas confortáveis, apenas para usar em casa, e fui para a cozinha para fazer algo para comer.

Uma vez que já cheguei um pouco tarde, não fiz um pequeno-almoço muito grande, apenas algo que me aguenta-se até ao almoço. Decidi por um croissant e obviamente café. Não é muito saudável, mas é delicioso. Também aproveitei esta oportunidade para visitar as redes sociais.

Even though we could already consider it lunch time, I take another hour to work on some stuff. Today, I worked on the blog and also on my freelance job. Believe it or not, I do stay working for that whole hour and it passes way to quickly.

Also, before actually start working, I wrote my to do list since I didn't do it last night.

Meio-dia

Mesmo já se considerando hora almoço, ainda estive uma hora a trabalhar. Hoje, escrevi no blogue e trabalhei um pouco num artigo do meu trabalho freelancer. Acreditem ou não, facilmente fico essa hora focada e sinceramente passa rápido.

Antes de começar a trabalhar, apontei a minha lista de coisas para fazer, visto que não fiz na noite passada.

1p.m. 

It sometimes passes some minutes, okay? It's not an exact hour, but around this time we start to set the table for lunch. In our family we do take some time eating, since we have coffee, desert and we just stay there talking or watching something on the tv.

Algumas vezes passam uns minutos, okay? Não são horas exatas, mas por volta desta hora começo a pôr a mesa. Na nossa família demoramos algum tempo a comer - também tomamos o café, sobremesa e ficamos apenas a falar ou a ver algo na televisão.

Strangely, I don't get ready right away. I actually first like to go to the computer or tv to watch something. As of now, I'm still watching the third season of The Great, I'm on episode 6. As you may guess, I only have time for one. I'm actually quite enjoying the show, I don't know why it took me so long to watch this new season.

Estranhamente, não vou logo despachar-me. Por acaso primeiro gosto de ir ao computador ou para a televisão ver alguma coisa. Neste momento, estou a ver a terceira temporada de The Great, estou no episódio 6. Como podem adivinhar, apenas tenho tempo para um. Estou a gostar até desta temporada, não sei porque é que me demorou tanto tempo a ver.

After it, I'm probably almost late, so I really need to get ready. I do my makeup, that it does take some time, since I like to do fun eyeliners nowadays. And I also get dress for work, in my case, I actually have a uniform so I don't have to decided what to wear.

It's finally time to go to work. I always like to be there 15 minutes before, so I get time to relax a little bit, maybe go to the bathroom and also chat a little bit with some co-workers.

Depois, quando já estou quase a ficar atrasada, começo mesmo a preparar-me. Maquilho-me, o que demora algum tempo, uma vez que agora tenho feito uns delineados divertidos. E também visto-me, no meu caso, é rápido porque tenho uniforme, não tenho de decidir o que vestir.

Finalmente é hora de ir para o trabalho. Gosto de chegar lá 15 minutos antes, para ter tempo para relaxar um pouco, talvez ir à casa de banho e falar com os colegas.
