This month I had no particular idea of what fashion item should I introduce you to. So I decided to show you another way to style a piece. Not that is very original, but maybe not all of you have though about it. Which is a corset for winter. Normally, is kind of hard, but it is possible to be warm and wearing a corset. It's not just to wear on top of a mesh long sleeve.

Obviously that there are other formats of a corset, but please do take inspiration from here. And give me other pieces ideas that you would like for me to style.

Este mês eu não tinha nenhum ideia em particular de qual peça de moda devia de vos introduzir. Por isso decidi mostrar-vos uma forma diferente de estilizar a peça. Não que seja super original, mas talvez nem todos vocês tenham pensado nisto. Que é um corpete no inverno. Normalmente, é um bocado difícil, mas é possível estar quente e usar um corpete. Não é apenas para vestir sob uma manga comprida mesh.

Obviamente que há outras formas de utilizar, mas tirem inspiração daqui. E deem-me ideias de outras peças que gostariam de ver num visual.

The whole idea here is that layering is the way to go. A corset with a knitwear underneath is a big no. Not only is almost impossible, but it just gives a super weird body shape. That way, for me, layering thin and fitting clothes is the best way.

I love turtlenecks and I think they are very sophisticated so I used one in lilac. But if you prefer a mockneck would look just as good. Then I went for a white button up shirt for a more medieval look. Finally, the corset, to shape your figure. I also left the shirt a bit unbuttoned so a bit of flesh was peaking through.

To make it more casual I paired it with some slouchy jeans. But in the other way I chose some lilac cowboy boots to match the crop turtleneck. If you are still cold, definitely add a coat, maybe black and long.

Toda a ideia aqui é que camadas são o caminho para ir. Um corpete com uma malha por baixo é um grande não. Não só porque é quase impossível, mas também porque vai contra o propósito de dar forma ao corpo. Assim sendo, para mim, fazer camadas com peças finas e apertadas são a solução.

Eu adoro gola alta e acho que são muito sofisticadas, por isso usei uma lilás. Mas se preferirem, meia gola também fica muito bem. Depois optei por uma camisa branca para um ar mais medieval. Finalmente, o corpete, para contornar o corpo. Eu deixei a camisa aberta para deixar à vista um pouco de pele.

Para tornar mais casual, combinei com uma calças de ganga slouchy. Mas por outro lado, escolhi umas botas cowboy lilás para fazer par com a gola alta. Se ainda assim continuarem com frio, definitivamente adicionem um casaco, talvez preto e comprido.

Before hand, I'm sorry. This vlog was not planned at all. Honestly, I had in mind to film other day that I was planning better, but this morning, that I'm about to show you, just happened out of nowhere (almost) and I though it was ideal. And to be fair it was a very healing spontaneous time with my friend, that enjoyed quite a lot. I believe those moments should also be shown because they are so pure and so much more realistic.

In summary, since I had to go to work in the afternoon we decided to meet on a tuesday so that way we could visit the Santa Clara flea market in Lisbon, in the morning, and afterwards we could enjoy brunch together. And it was my friend's first brunch.

I still filmed in vertical, so if you don't like let me know. Also, I mostly do fast-paced and quick videos, so if you would like longer ones, also tell me.

Antes demais, desculpem. Este vlog não foi nada planeado. Honestamente, eu tinha em mente filmar outro dia que estava a planear melhor, mas esta manhã, que vos vou mostrar, aconteceu do nada (quase) e pareceu-me indicada. E para ser justa foi um momento bastante espontâneo e medicinal com a minha amiga, que eu gostei muito. Acredito que estes momentos também são merecedores de serem mostrados, visto que são puros e muito mais realistas.

Sumariamente, sendo que eu tinha que ir trabalhar à tarde, decidimo-nos encontrar a uma terça-feira de forma a que fosse possível visitar a Feira da Ladra, da parte da manhã, e depois aproveitar um brunch juntas. E foi o primeiro da minha amiga.

Eu continuo a filmar na vertical, e se não gostam digam-me. E continuam a ser vídeos pequenos e rápidos, por isso se quiserem maiores digam-me isso também.

 A disclaimer, I can feel my productivity levels really low. Not living alone anymore and this cold weather really changes my mood on stuff. Nevertheless, I'm forcing myself to do stuff, and there are some little things that you can do to up your productivity, but I leave that for another post, if you want.

On this one, I decided to show you what a saturday afternoon, after working in the morning, looks like. Be reminded that it's all about going slow and do stuff that you are feeling. Don't rush things and don't make you feel guilty. It's all about the moment.

Um aviso, eu consigo sentir os meus níveis de produtividade em baixo. Já não viver sozinha e com este tempo frio, o meu humor muda um pouco. Contudo, estou a tentar forçar-me a fazer coisas, e existem coisas que realmente podemos fazer para ajudar a nossa produtividade, mas vou deixar isso para outro post, se quiserem.

Neste decidi mostrar-vos uma tarde de sábado depois do trabalho. Lembrem-se que é sobre demorar o nosso tempo e fazer as coisas que sentimos no momento. Não apressem e não se sintam culpados. É sobre a disposição.

I normally arrive a bit late at home. When I finally go have lunch it's usually around 3p.m. Not an ideal hour, but it is what it is. And again I don't rush things up, because I know after lunch I will have to do important stuff, things that require more attention and focus. 

Before the meal, right when I arrive, I like to go change my clothes. I take off my work uniform and put on some comfortable clothes on. 

I take my time eating lunch. In the meantime I can be watching tv or some show. I'm not also eating alone, so I may just be talking.

Normalmente, eu chego um pouco tarde a casa. Quando realmente vou almoçar é por volta das 15h. Não é uma hora ideal, mas é assim mesmo. E outra vez, eu não me apresso, porque eu sei que depois do almoço vou ter de fazer algo importante, e vou precisar de mais atenção e foco.

Antes da refeição, logo quando chego, mudo do meu uniforme de trabalho para umas roupas mais confortáveis.

Demoro o meu tempo a comer. Entretanto, posso estar a ver um serie ou televisão. Eu também não como sozinha, por isso posso estar a conviver.

After that, I organize the home a little bit, and start focusing on the important things. With that I mean, blog related stuff. Or my hobbies that I want to get better at.

Depending on my mood, I sometimes make a snack or just a drink to enjoy while I'm working or for when I'm watching a tv show or something.

Depois disso, organizo um pouco a casa e começo a focar-me nas coisas importantes. Com isto dito, mais trabalho relacionado com o blogue. Ou um dos meus hobbies que eu pretendo ficar melhor.

Dependendo de como me sinto, às vezes preparo um lanche ou uma bebida para saborear enquanto trabalho ou estar a ver televisão.

As you may know, I'm someone that likes to do a lot stuff and can't stay doing the same thing for a long period of time. Therefore, after around an hour or a little more, I need to let loose some tension. In that matter or I'll do some physical stuff, for example, today I needed to do my IPL hair removal session, or I'll just do something that doesn't require thinking, such as watching youtube videos.

Como podem saber, eu gosto de fazer muitas coisas e não consigo estar apenas numa durante muito tempo. Assim sendo, depois de uma hora ou um bocado mais, eu preciso de largar alguma tensão. Por isso ou vou fazer alguma coisa física, por exemplo, neste dia eu precisava de fazer a minha sessão de IPL, ou vou fazer algo que não requer muito pensamento, como ver vídeos no youtube.

Thereafter, it's definitely time to get my workout in. As you already know, my workout sessions are around 50 minutes, so as I finish I only have time to go shower and start preparing the table for dinner. I'm lucky enough to have my mom around to make it for me.

De seguida, é definitivamente altura de ir fazer exercício. Como já sabem, as minhas sessões demoram à volta de 50 minutos, por isso quando acabo é só ir tomar banho e começar a por a mesa para o jantar. Eu sou sortuda o suficiente por ter a minha mãe que o faz para mim.

If I choose to wait for my sister to arrive from work, which is around 9p.m, I will spend that time reading. That hour is actually good to read since the house is calm and my body and mind is also relaxed. As of now, I'm reading Venom & Glory from Shanora Williams as an ebook, since I couldn't find the physical version in the bookshops here in Portugal.

And here it ends, basically, my afternoon. Even though is already pretty late to call it afternoon when I finish my workout.

Se escolher esperar pela minha irmã, que chega do trabalho por voltas 21h, durante esse tempo aproveito para ler. É uma boa altura uma vez que a casa está calma e o meu corpo e mente estão também relaxados. De momento, estou a ler Venom & Glory da Shanora Williams digital, porque não consegui arranjá-lo físico nas livrarias aqui em Portugal.

E aqui acaba, basicamente, a minha tarde. Mesmo sendo já tarde para chamar de tarde logo quando acabo o exercício.

 One thing that I've been wanting to do for quite some time is getting rid off my body hair completely. Or at least make the growth take more time. At first, I wanted to do it professionally and with laser. But after watching all those videos and results about IPL done at home I decided to give it a shot. Specially because I have a really bad reaction on my crotch area to the razor and cream wax.

I've been doing my intimate part and my armpits for one month now: two times, because it's every two weeks. However I'm starting my legs now and therefore I decided to show you results and how I do it through that part of my body. For obvious reasons.

Uma coisa que eu tenho querido fazer já há algum tempo é ver-me livre por completo dos pelos do corpo. Ou pelo menos fazer com que o seu crescimento demore mais. Primeiramente, quis fazer profissionalmente e a lazer. Mas depois de ver todos aqueles vídeos e resultados sobre IPL feito em casa, decidi tentar. Especialmente, porque eu tenho uma reação mesmo má, na área das virilhas, à lâmina e ao creme depilatório.

Eu já faço a parte íntima e axilas à um mês: duas vezes, porque é a cada duas semanas. Contudo, estou agora a começar as pernas e por isso decidi mostrar-vos os resultados e como tenho feito por essa parte do corpo. Por razões óbvias.

The Intense Pulsed Light device I'm using is the Lumea Essential from Philips. The scale goes from 1 to 5 and a really good thing about this Lumea, at least, is that it only pulses when you have positioned the deviced correctly to the skin.

One my crotch area I'm only able to endure until the 3rd level, but on my legs I easily go up to 4. Before using it is instructed to you to shave your legs, in this case, preferably with razor. As I said before I get very itchy doing it with razor, so to help a bit I've been shaving the direction of the hair growth and that really helps, honestly.

I did a test prior to each level to see if I had any reaction. None. And for reference my skin is tanned. I suntan easy, and don't sunburnt that easy. For my bikini line and armpits I do it with the click movement - one pulse at a time - but for my legs, since it's a bigger area and to do it quicker I use the pulsing movement, where you just keep the button pressed and glide the device through your legs.

O aparelho de Luz Intensa Pulsada que estou a usar é a Lumea Essential da Philips. A escala vai de 1 a 5, e uma coisa muito boa desta Lumea, pelo menos, é que apenas pulsa quando a máquina está posicionada na pele corretamente.

Nas virilhas sou apenas capaz de aguentar até ao terceiro nível, mas nas pernas vou facilmente até ao 4º. Antes de usar é instruído que façamos a depilação, neste caso, das pernas, preferivelmente com lâmina. Como disse anteriormente eu fico com muita comichão, então o que tenho feito para ajudar é cortar o pelo na direção em que cresce, e ajuda mesmo, honestamente.

Eu fiz um teste a cada um dos níveis antes de realmente fazer para ver se teria alguma reação à luz. Nada. E para referência a minha pele é bronzeada. Bronzeio fácil e não queimo assim tão fácil. Para a minha linha do biquíni e axilas, eu faço com o movimento de clique - uma pulsada de cada vez - mas para as pernas, uma vez que é uma área maior e para fazer mais rapidamente eu uso o movimento de pulsadas, em que mantemos os botão pressionado e deslizamos o aparelho pelas pernas.

For now, I can't really see results, since it's day 1. Nevertheless, I have to say that it's very easy to use, it doesn't consume a lot of time to do it and it doesn't hurt at all, nor it burns your skin. Just make sure you don't have hairs, cause in that way it will smell a little burnt.

To motivate you, in my intimate part and armpits, I already see results. It's definitely taking longer to grow and doesn't leave any mark.

Por agora, ainda não consigo ver resultados, uma vez que é o primeiro dia. Porém, tenho a dizer que é bastante fácil de usar, não consome muito tempo do nosso dia e não dói mesmo nada, nem queima a pele. Apenas tenham atenção que não têm mesmo nenhum pelo, porque ai sim vai cheirar um pouco a queimado.

Para vos motivar, posso dizer que na minha parte íntima e nas axilas, já venho resultados. Os pelos estão a demorar mais tempo a crescer e não existem marcas.
